R20 Dice Rings - UPDATED

Update:
I just finished drying my clothes in the dryer.  It's covered with tissue bits.  I must of left one of my green wonton tissues in my pocket and washed it!  D'oh!

4 of us went to Panda Garden Buffet: Steve, Ed, Andrew, and myself.  Steve was suppose to nibble the toes off some BBQ chicken feet, but they didn't have any today in the dim sum area.  I'm sure he was really disappointed.  Next time he'll nibble off 2 toes.
Lunch is a pretty good deal here.  Good selection of stuff and for $10.  I only ate 3 plates, and it was mostly chicken wings, mussels, and sushi.  The wings are extremely good here.  Crispy and tasty.

Useless Gaming News:
I got my Kickstarted Dice Rings today.  They are made by CritSuccess.  I got 3 R20 dice rings in blue, gold, and black in size 10.5.  These are really cool, but I think I should have gotten size 11.  Anyways, now I'll always have a d20 on me :)

The blue and gold ones spin really nicely, but the black one doesn't spin very well.  I even washed it as per instructions in hot soapy water, but it only helped it abit.  Still doesn't spin like the others.  Might need to send this back to be replaced.

Tonight we played a double header vs Optelian in the mosquito infested Whalen Park.
We won Game One: 14-9.  I hit 2 for 3, but when I popped fly out, I scored 2 RBIs.
We also won Game Two: 24-12.  I hit 2 for 3 again.
CMC Strike Fighters are now 4-0 for the season!
MVP: Tonight the MVP is Jeno!  He barely beat out Tyler for MVP.  Over Jeno's 7 at bats, he was able to hit the cycle!!!  He pulled it off with an in-the-park-homerun for his last at bat.

Got a package from HMV Japan the other day.  My 2nd set of Kasai's "Mine" CDs, 2nd set of AKB48's "Sayonara Crawl" CDs, and the 2013 Election Guide Book.  I pulled a $30+ Oshima Yuko photo in one of the AKB CDs.  I also pulled Paruru and SKE's Kanon.

More Transformers Optimum Cards - UPDATED

Ed made sushi for the 1st time on the weekend.  It turned out pretty good.  His rice was really hard for some reason, and needed more rice vinegar.  Other than that, it was good.  He used avocado, imitation crab, carrots, egg, and cucumber.

Useless Transformers News:
Won some Transformers Optimum card inserts in eBay this morning.  The seller was from Ottawa so I meet him at the Trainyard's Walmart and picked them up directly from him.  He's a pretty cool collector too.  I got an Ironhide Tire card, NEST relic card, Ratchet autograph, Jetfire autograph, and the G1 foil set.

UPDATE: I just noticed while putting this cards away into my binder, that the NEST relic card TC3 is a clothing piece from movie used underpants and undershirt!  That is so disgusting!

While at Trainyard's Walmart, I found a Fall of Cybertron Grimlock, but no Blaster.  I also picked up Air Raid and Starscream from Merivale Toys R Us.

Weekend Report: 92% Recovered

I can't believe I've been sick almost 2 weeks now.  I think I'm 92% recovered now.  My nose is only slightly stuffed (making only mini green wontons now) and I think my cough is mostly gone.

Picked up Chinese food from Rideau Restaurant.  I ordered +2.  Got dry fried rice noodles with beef, salt & pepper squid, and Schzewan beef.

Sobey's has Strawberry Cream Pies on sale this week for $3.99 (ends this coming Wednesday).  I picked one up on Friday to share at work.  It was so good, I picked up another one and ate the whole thing over this weekend!

Useless Gaming Info:
Played some 6-player gaming Saturday night.  We played Race for the Galaxy, Flash Point (fun fire fighting game), Timeline, BANG!, and Tsuro.
Flash Point is pretty fun fire fighting game.  You play as fire fighters.  You have to enter a burning building to put out fires and rescue the trapped victims.  You need to rescue 7 victims to win or if 3 die, you lose.  Ben and I think it's the same creators as Pandemic, because the advanced play has roles very similar to the roles in Pandemic.

Flash Point Game.

Timeline is a fast game where you try and empty your hand by placing your cards with inventions on them in the correct spot in time.  If you get it wrong, you get another card.  Simple educational game.  If you know history and dates, you have a huge advantage.  I don't know either, so I guess based on what makes sense.

The subbed version of BKA48's "Haste and Waste" video.  This is the best video I've seen in awhile and I really like this song over "Sayonara Crawl".  I would prefer Kawaei as future center over Paru too.

Was thinking of BBQing my steak today, but it got really cold fast in the afternoon.  I cooked it in the pan instead.  I also cooked the mushrooms in butter and steak drippings :)

I got a box of the Transformers Optimum trading cards yesterday.  I got all the packs open today.  I got the complete base set of 72 cards with some doubles, 6 G1 foil cards, 1 comic card (#2 of 13), Mrs.Witwicky autograph (sucks, because she's a common signer), a sketch of Broadside (of 125), and a relic card of Ironhide's tire (really... it's a stupid piece of a truck tire!!!)

Useless Idol News:
AKB48's 31st single "Sayonara Crawl" was released yesterday, and I already got my copies in the mail today!  The package came with "Sayonara Crawl" Regular Types A, K, and B (with bonus photos); and my Kasai Tomomi "Mine" CDs (Types A, B, C).  I got HKT's Sakura, JKT's Akicha, and AKB's Yui as my photo inserts.

I don't think "Sayonara Crawl" it's that great of a single, but the CD will sell because it contains the election voting tickets (more on that another time).  Also I think there are way too many senbatsu members in this single, 32 members!
The best video in this release, is by the newly formed sub-group BKA48 with "Hasute and Wasute".  It is formed by the 7 baka (aka idiot/stupid) members of AKB (it was decided through a test on a show.)  I find the song is catchy and the video is funny.  (Warning: the volume is kind of loud)

I got the "Robot Hockey" Trophy engraved late last week.

"Chuck Norris" won this year, in the shortened season.  His name is now on there 3 times.  I need to win next year.  I atleast want "Fongpay" to appear on every side of the trophy.

Today's game Post-Poned Due to Rain.  Too bad it wasn't a late game.  I think the rain stopped around 7:15pm.
I predict that we still would have won :)  and I would have gone 4/4, hitting the cycle :))
Jeno would have gone 3/4, almost getting the cycle too but didn't, because he didn't stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night.  LOL

Long Weekend Report: New Plants

Worked on my front lawn this long weekend.  I covered the grass under my tree/bush plant with mulch.  I added a border to keep the mulch where I want it.  Also added soil and grass seeds to the rest of the front lawn.

Food this weekend ->
I made chili from scratch.  I only made it medium spicy because my throat is still sore and I've developed a power cough over the weekend.

I finished it with freshly sliced corn from the cob.  The fresh corn was sweet and tasted really good in the savoury and spicy chili.  I also topped the chili with some Parmesan cheese.

Went to the Merivale buffet with the family for lunch.  I had 4 plates of food.  This was the 1st plate.

The 2nd-4th plates mostly consisted of the mussels.  The mussels were really good and really big!  I also had alot of BBQ chicken feet.  Nibbling the tasty skin off the little toes is just yummy :)

Got a package on Friday from eBay.  I got a Kashiwagi alarm clock, Kojima tumbler, and what I really wanted from the auction item grouping, 2 heat changing mugs of Kojima and Yuko.

Microwave Duck Legs

Dinner today -> Duck Legs with Veggies.
Starting to feel better, but now I have a hacking cough to go with my green "wonton" making. 
I got a couple of discount raw duck legs from T&T last week ($0.80 off).  I was planning on cooking them in the rice cooker on top of the rice, but Susanna did that and said the rice was way too oily.  I made them in the microwave with my stone cooker instead.  I added some red potatoes, organic carrots, and smashed garlic.  I covered the duck legs with Montreal Steak Spices.

I also boiled some corn cobs.  It came out pretty good.  I put too much Montreal Steak Spice on the legs.  It was abit too salty.  I also put too much cayenne pepper on the veggies.  The spiciness triggered an itch in my raw throat and made me start coughing.

Got a couple of packages today from eBay.  I got 2 AKB48 photos from Latvia: Kasai Tomomi (green) and Takahashi Minami (red).  I also got my Oshima Yuko 3D mouse pad :)  The print is a little dark.  Not sure if it is better than my Kashiwagi Yuki 3D mouse pad.

1/2 Sick Day

Went to work today.  My mistake.  I had to come back home at lunch time.  Today, my area was uncommonly deathly quiet (probably because those noisy marketing guys are away traveling) and the only noise was my coughing and me noisily making big green "wontons" :)  I made 4 hugely over-stuffed "wontons" and stored them in the garbage for the janitor to take away :)
I probably should Purell my keyboard, mouse, and desk tomorrow.

I wasn't really hungry (probably because of the uncontrollable "snacking" of the wonton filling I've been doing), but I had to cook it because the steak and the greens were going to go bad.

Sick Day

I had to take a sick day today.  I have a fever not a cold, or maybe the flu?  I don't know where I caught it from?  Maybe Ben?  Maybe Wil Wheaton?  Or maybe even one of those Daleks?
I had trouble sleeping last night too.  My right nostril kept filling up with "stuff" and I had to keep emptying it.  It felt like it was a never ending supply of "stuff".  Weird that it's only my right nostril too.  This morning I was cold and sweating at the same time.  This afternoon, after a nap, my back and legs were achy.

Strike Fighters had a softball game tonight.  I didn't go, but we won 6-5.  I don't remember who we played too.

Sore Throat

I've caught a cold.  I've got stuff nose, headache, and a really sore throat.  I shot Dristan up my nose to clear it, but it makes my throat dry and my sore throat worse.
I felt really tired and fell asleep watching Game 7 of the TOR@BOS game when it was 2-1 in the 2nd.  I woke up in OT and I can't believe TOR blew at 4-1 lead and BOS won 4-5 in OT.

We had a big BBQ for Mother's Day.  I made black pepper spaghetti with steak.  Susanna made her roaster salad (which was pretty good).  We also had wings, Korean short ribs, and kabobs

Speaking of ComicCon, Ben and I was there at 3pm.  We walked right in the main entrance with no one taking our tickets or stamping our hands.
Lots of people there this year, but I think less people than last year were dressed up.  Lots of Star Wars characters this year, and a lot of Doctor Who's too.  Some ladies were dressed really good, but others should not have been dressed up.
