Happy Easter Weekend!

Sunday is the season finale of The Walking Dead.  I hope it will be good.  The prison arc plot was dragging on too much for me.  It could have been done 3 episodes ago and start on something new.
Sunday is also the Season 3 Premiere of Game of Thrones.  Since I don't get HBO, I'll either need a source to give it to me or download it.
The finale of AKB0048 was this week too.  I have to watch the sub version soon before I read people spoiling it.  I found AKB0048 Season 2 much more interesting than Walking Dead Season 3.

Food this weekend ->
The last of the rib steak.
Rib Steak.

I didn't know what to eat for lunch on Saturday.  So I made a 3-egg cheese omelette.  Then I decided to cut it in half and throw it into a couple of sandwiches with some mock chicken.
Omelette Sandwich.

I made some Mabo tofu.  I rewatched an old episode of AKBingo! to remember how to make it.  I used too much pork or too little tofu, but it was really good.  Ate this big batch all day on Sunday with rice and bread.
Mabo Tofu.

Useless Gaming Info:
4-player gaming at Ben's.  We played Magic, Get Bit!, and Cave Troll (I like this game.  Once everyone knows the rules better and some strategies, it will just get better.).
Cave Troll.

Then we played Legendary, and Tsuro.  Tsuro was alot of fun and a great fast game.  The last game: Ben, Paul, and I all ended up at the last space, while Gordon was safe and free in his own zone.
Tsuro jam-up.

Useless Idol Info:
Got a package on Thursday.  It was my AKB48 Music Box.  It was the Aitakatta version from the same series as my RIVER music box.

Return to KNH

Lunch today -> Chicken Pad Thai.
Went back to KNH for lunch today, because my boss wanted to go.  This time I got the Chicken Pad Thai.  It was really good, but a little on the wet and sweet side.  Lots of chicken in the dish too.  Very satisfying.
Chicken Pad Thai.

Dinner today -> Ribs and Female Capelin.
Went to T&T at 8:30pm.  It was late, so I think I missed out on all the good stuff, but I still picked up some BBQ ribs and some female capelin.  Finished off all the ribs and a few fishes for a late dinner.
BBQ Ribs and Female Capelin.

Useless Gaming News:
Got my replacement X-Wing foam in the mail.  I had to cut the card slots abit wider, because they were sized for non-sleeved cards.

Disappointing Lunch and Disappointing HLJ Service

Lunch today -> Kanata Noodle House.
Haven't had KNH in awhile.  Steve got Pad Thai with Chicken.  Looked good.
Chicken Pad Thai.

Ed got a large #42 Seafood with Egg Noodles in Chicken Broth.  We were laughing as there was only 1 mussel in the huge bowl.
Seafood Egg Noodle.

I got the usual large #15 Special.  It was only OK this time.  I was very disappointed because I didn't get any rare beef and the beef brisket pieces were small end pieces.  If I did get rare beef, it was fully over-cooked when the bowl got to me.  Next time I go, I'm going to ask for the rare beef on the side so I can add it myself.  I rate this visit a 2/5.  Very disappointing.
#15 Special.
BTW: I was thirsty all afternoon and was hungry again around 2pm.  I should have gotten the pad thai as it would have been more filling.

Useless Toy News:
I got a package from HLJ.  Got some Japanese Bot Shot Transformers (aka Be Cool Transformers).  The paint details are way better than the US Bot Shots.
Japanese Bot Shots.
I also got Bandai discounted VGundam (not sure if that is the right name) and AKB0048's Nagisa Figure.
Gundam and AKB0048 stuff.
Also in the box was only 1 AKB0048 Takamina towel.  I'm still pissed at HLJ for NOT being able to fulfill my pre-order on the other AKB0048 towels I had pre-ordered (Mayu, Maeda, and especially Yuko).  I had pre-ordered 2 of each at about $4 each, but now eBay has them for $20 each!  I should have pre-ordered these elsewhere (ie AmiAmi), but I wanted to use HLJ's Warehouse system.

Happy Birthday Gavin!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAYUYU!!!

Oh yea, it's the same day as Gavin's Birthday too ;)

Mouth Cutting Bread

Lunch today -> Roast Beef Sub and Pizza Buns.
Picked up some munchies at Loblaws.  I got a roast beef sub with lettuce and tomatoes.  It was OK, but the bread was rock hard.  It even cut the roof of my mouth abit.  I was going to eat the pizza buns too, but decided to save them for tomorrow or Wednesday.

Useless Idol News:
Kasai Tomomi will act in a comedy-drama starting in April.  The show (based off a manga) is about a detective who solves cases through his passion for food.  Kasai will play a cop :)
Officer Kasai.
Also announced was Kasai's 2nd single will be the ending song to the show.  The single is released May 8.

Weekend Report: Wasted Vacation

I took Friday off the get some things done, but I didn't get anything done.  Why?  I got sick Friday.  I had a huge headache and my right leg and back was sore.  I slept in til 2pm.  I felt better Saturday night.  The only thing I got done was build a shelf I bought during the week from IKEA.
I did discover Channel 968: Galaxie - The Asian Flavour.  It plays random Jpop, Kpop, and Cpop music.  It's even got AKB48, Morning Musume, Girls Generation, Kara, etc.  "Sugar Rush" was on alot.  I was listening to it in the background when I was trying to sleep.

Food this weekend ->
Eventhough I was feeling sick, I still wanted to eat steak :)  First was Steak with Corn.
Steak and Corn.

Then Steak with Rice.
Steak and Rice.

I also made Seafood Ramen.  Used the instant Wild Clams in Red Thai Chili, some frozen shrimps, and chopped nappa.
Seafood Ramen.

Useless Transformers Info:
I got around to opening Masterpiece Ravage and Rumble.  They are really cool.  The only problem I'm finding is trying to eject the cassettes from Soundwave.  Ravage and Rumble seem to be slightly slimmer than Laserbeak.  Because of this, they won't let the door open when they are in the front 2 slots.  I have no problems with Laserbeak.

Steak, Steak, and more Steak.

FYI: I took a vacation day on Friday, so you won't see me at work.

Lunch today -> Steak with Toasted Bun.
Right before lunch, I saw in the Sobey's flyer that Sterling Silver rib eye steaks were on sale: "Buy 1 Get 1 Free".
Steak Sale.

I hussled over there and picked up 4 steaks and then headed home to cook one up for lunch.  The steak almost melts in your mouth.
Steak Lunch.

Dinner today -> Steak with Devil Tongue Noodle Knots.
Cooked a 2nd steak for dinner and topped it with a bit of wasabi and chili-garlic.  I boiled and pan-fried a pack of devil tongue noodle knots as the side.
Steak with Noodle Knots.

Snack today -> Lemon Cupcake.
I got a lemon cupcakes from Marc that Jes made.  It was really good.  I like these more than her chocolate ones.

2 Minute Wild Clams.

Nothing much going on today.  A couple people I know expressed interest in my new 3D mousepad.  Since when have you guys been interested in AKB... or is it the "3D" part your interested in?  :)
I even got a comment looking for one.  If anyone else is looking for one, see my reply to the comment in the previous post.
BTW: There were 2 different version available.  The one I got is better because I can still use the mouse and not cover up Yukirin's face.
Now I just need to find a Yuko and Kasai one :)

Dinner today -> Wild Clams in Red Thai Chili.
Susanna told me these PC brand "Wild Clams in Red Thai Chili" are really good, and they are on sale at SuperStore this week for $2.  I got a few boxes and cooked one box today.  Cooking is really quick: puncture plastic and microwave for 2 minutes.  That's it.
There are alot of clams in this package.  I used some thick mini-pitas to soak up the broth.
Wild Clams in Red Thai Chili.
The sale ends this Thursday, but I might pick up a couple more boxes before it ends.

Happy Birthday Grayson!!!

Feels like Christmas again.

Useless Idol Info:
Way less snow fell than I expected today.  But with the big snowfall, it was starting to feel like Christmas again... and look at what I got in the mail like Christmas presents:
1st package was some Oshima Yuko cards from her solo card set.  They are clothing insert cards.  One of these is fairly rare.  I got these for really cheap on eBay.
Yuko Insert Cards.

The other package had my new mouse pad.  An AKB48 Kashiwagi Yuki "3D" mouse pad!  It's got excellent wrist support :)  Got this for only $17 with free shipping!

Drink Lots of Water

Had to do a blood test this morning.  The nurses always have trouble finding my veins.  Last time I went they told me a tip was to drink water before going.  So I drank to 2 cups of water last night and 2 cups this morning.  When I got there this time, and after some poking around, they told me the tip was actually to drink 2-3 bottles of water 1hr before going to the clinic.

Dinner today -> Discount T&T Food.
Not much pickings tonight.  Picked up some tofu with mushrooms, spicy shrimp, and a couple boxes of discount pastries.  $3.99 a box for atleast 7 pastries is totally worth it.  It was a bunch of sausage rolls, yellow curry pastries, sweet BBQ pork pastries, and a mystery pastry (I think it a sweet coconut pastry?).
Discount Food.

Happy Birthday Mallory!!!

Happy St.Patrick's Day

HAPPY ST.PATRICK'S DAY!!!

Food this weekend ->
I didn't eat anything green this weekend, but I did eat alot of noodles.
I made fried noodles with a side of roast pork, topped with a couple fried eggs.

Quick meal by microwaving shrimp wrapped in rice noodles.

Then cold egg noodles mixed with oyster sauce and sesame oil.

Also, Linda made some tasty chocolate cake :)

Useless Gaming News:
5 player gaming at Jeff's on Saturday night.  Started with "Rumble in the House" and "Tsuro".
Rumble in the House.
Tsuro.

Then moved on to "Get Bit!" (BTW: "Walk the Plank" the prequel to "Get Bit!" is currently on Kickstarter.  It's described as a 20 minute Robo Rally game).
Get Bit!

These were some good starter games before getting in to some serious rounds of "Legendary".  We fought Red Skull in the 1st game.  Not much trouble from him.  Then we faced Dr. Doom in the next match.  We almost lost but we won in the end, but just barely.  Not much help from Anthony who kept giving up bystanders to the villains as hostages!
Legendary.

Useless Transformers News:
Anthony picked up this Transformers Animated 3-in-1 Game Box for me from Zellars for $0.99.

Happy Pi Day!!!

Happy Pi Day!!!

Lunch today -> McDs and Tim's
Went to Walmart to return some Transformers.  Then dropped by McDonalds to get a couple McDoubles for lunch and a couple Apple Pies in honour of Pi Day.  Also picked up a free Tim's coffee (no winner in the new cup).
Burgers, Pies, and Coffee.

Useless Idol Info:
Got another package today (3 days in a row, it's just like Christmas).  Stuff from CD Japan.  I got extra copies of AKB48's "So Long!" and Kashiwagi Yuki's "Shortcake" for the exclusive photos, and NMB48's Type M album for the different concert DVD than Type N.
AKB Stuff.
Also got an issue of Japan's Weekly Playboy featuring Kasai Tomomi and "oppai of the year" winner AKB's Kojima Haruna.

What Kind of Pie to Choose.

Tomorrow, March 14, is Pie Day.  I'm debating whether to get a sweet dessert pie, a meat pie, or a pizza pie for lunch.  Susanna's work is getting a free Pizza and Pie lunch to celebrate.  Too bad CMC isn't doing it too :(

Dinner today -> Rideau Takeout
Had dinner at my parent's house.  They ordered takeout from Rideau Restaurant.  We had Beef Chow Mein, Salt and Pepper Pork chops, Dry Fried Rice Noodles with Beef, Singapore Style Noodles, Fried Rice, and Salty Fish Fried Rice.  Ben also brought his leftovers from T&T from Monday.

I got in the mail today, my Transformers Masterpiece Ravage and Rumble.

Millennium Falcon FTW

Nothing going on today, but I should buy some pie soon... You know, for this Thursday March 14.

Useless Gaming Info:
I got a package in the mail from MeepleMart.  It had my Star Wars: X-Wing Miniatures.  This box is mostly wave 2 of the ships.  I got the Millennium Falcon, Slave I, A-Wing, and 2 TIE Interceptors.  I also got a TIE Advance from wave 1.
I had also ordered some Battlefoam to store my ships and game pieces in, but I was sent the wrong one and will be getting a free replacement :)  Thanks to Steve at MeepleMart.
BTW: Everytime I play X-Wing, the Empire always wins.  The 1 free "evade" move on the TIE Fighters is really powerful.

It Stinks!!! Peeee-ewwww!!!

There was a stinky smell throughout the downstairs offices today (and very near my desk).  One of the marketing managers and his dog got sprayed by a skunk!  I guess he didn't wash it off in tomato juice.  He left early, but the smell still lingered.

Dinner today -> T&T Foods.
Today was the 1st day of March Break, so I figured T&T may have cooked too much food today, because of the people taking vacation this week and not buying food there for lunch.  I was right and there was a ton of reduced goodies today.
I picked up: Pork Belly with Chinese Greens and Beef, Sweet & Sour Pork, Chow Mein, Fried Squid, Fried Tofu with Pork, Fried Daikon Squares, Sweet BBQ Pork Pastries, and Sausage Rolls.  This stuff should last me a few days.
Cheap T&T Food.

For dessert: a 6-pack of Portuguese Tarts!
Reduced Portuguese Tarts.

Useless Idol News:
Today was the 2nd anniversary of the Japan Tohoku Disaster.  AKB48 held 10 simultaneous concerts in the region for charity and to raise spirits.
Kasai was part of the Iwaki concert, with the Tomo-Tomo combo!  Pics and fan recorded videos in the link.
UPDATE: In the videos, the girls perform "Aitakatta", "Gingham Check" (Kasai centered), and "Kaze wa Fuiteiru" (Kasai with the moves!).  BTW from those fan's point of view, I think the girl's skirts are a tad too short, especially with the wind flipping them up :)

Weekend Report: Time Change

Did everyone remember to reset your clocks Saturday night?  I was up til 5am because of the time change.

Food this weekend ->
Picked up some T&T pre-cooked foods.  Got some BBQ Pork, Roast Pork, Marinated Chicken Wings, and Spring Rolls.  The Roast Pork skin was super crispy!  I was looking for another fried dungeoness crab, but they didn't have any.
T&T Cooked Foods.

I also got some discounted Short Ribs from Super Walmart.  They were cut thick, so I didn't marinated them in Korean BBQ sauce.  I just salt & peppered them and pan fried it.  Added broccoli and cherry tomatoes.
Short Ribs with Broccoli.
Short Rib with Broccoli and Cherry Tomatoes.

I made another batch of chow mein, but this time I used the BBQ Pork, nappa, and straw mushrooms.  The can of straw mushrooms says these were sliced, but they weren't.  They were just broken.  What a sneaky way to get rid of these!
BTW: I ate my mushrooms for Mario day.
BBQ Pork Chow Mein.

Useless Idol News:
On Friday, AKB48 release a new song for the Japan Tohoku Charity (Tsunami disaster).  It's called "Tenchira ga Katarukoto" and it's free to download.  Download it here.  A calming ballad.
The girls also performed it this weekend on NHK's charity concert.
