After eating, we opened gifts and we played Coup, Kill Doctor Lucky, and Tsuro.  Kill Doctor Lucky is a pretty good game, but it took a really long time to play 2 games.  I'll post my gift later.

Eating All Day

Today is my last regular entry until January 6, 2014.  I'll make random entries between now and then (most likely one for our family Christmas Feast).

Lunch today -> Cake, Ravioli, and Potluck
I've been eating all day today at work.  It started with some two-bite red velvet cupcakes I brought for one of my project meetings.

After finishing the can, I was talked into eating at the Production potluck.  There was a ton of food and a ton of desserts too.  Lots of good asian rice dishes.  I really like the sticky rice someone made.

Jim's homemade butter cookies were amazing! (the heart shaped cookie at the top.)  I ended up going back to the production's kitchen and grabbing a cookie 3 more times during the afternoon :)

Lunch today -> Royal Oak.
We were treated today to lunch at the Royal Oak by CMC Engineering group.  I got the Smokehouse Burger with fries.

Marc and I then ordered a Peanutbutter Cream Cake each.  It's probably a 3 or 4 bite cake, but this little thing was amazing!  Ed was too slow in ordering and the bill was already paided before he could order it :(

Family went to KNH for dinner, for Susanna's Birthday dinner.  I was still kind of full from lunch, but I still ordered a Large #15 Pho.  Mistake.  I couldn't finish it.  I even had to give some of the meat and noodles away to Susanna, who ordered a medium pho.  I forgot to take photos too.

My parents gave me some souvenirs from Thailand: Wooden chopsticks holder, wood chopsticks with my last name written on them, a Disney mini fork holder shaped like the Petronas Towers, and some giant sheets of squid.

Dinner today -> Steak and Toast.
Made a quick meal for dinner.  Just steak and toast.  Ate it while watching a Running Man episodes 151 and 152.

Weekend Report: Turbot Fish

I finally got some good service from Kodiak during this weekend's snow storm.  My driveway was clear Sunday morning when I got up at 9am.  I was actually surprised.  I hope they keep it up.

Didn't do much this weekend as I'm still recovering from my sickness.  I did finish Lego Marvel on PS4 (but still have alot of stuff to unlock).  I also (almost) finish wrapping all my Christmas presents.  It took me 3hrs.  It takes more time because I build the wrapping paper from used Preview Magazines.  I just need to buy 3 more gift bags and 12 tissue papers and I'm done.

Lunch today -> CMC Christmas Lunch.
Today was the free CMC Christmas Lunch.  There was turkey, mash potatoes, veggies, stuffing, salad, fruit, buns, and lots of desserts.  I was kind of full after finishing all this, but Ed convinced me to get a 2nd helping.  So I did and ate it too :)  Ed took his 2nd helping to go...

USA Limited Cookies

Back to work today, but I forgot to bring my medicine.  At around 2:30pm, everything wore off and I was coughing, sneezing, and my nose was stuffed up.  It totally sucked.

Useless Food News:
Susanna got me some USA exclusive/limited cookies for me from when she went to Syracuse on Black Friday.  She got me Peanut Butter Oreos, Winter Oreos, and fudge covered Ritz.  I've lost most of my tastes because of my sickness, but I really want to try the Peanut Butter Oreos right when I get over this cold/flu/whatever I have.

Still Sick

I'm still sick and decided to stay home today.  Woke up tired with a headache, sore throat, and no voice.  I blame this Drixoral nasal spray.  It amazing and works really fast and long, but it drys my throat and I think it is a stimulant.  I sprayed it at 2am last night and couldn't fall asleep til 4am.

I fried some leftover rice with some veggies and egg.  I also nuked a beef pot roast from M&M Meats in the microwave.

Got these Kickstarter games in the mail today: Twin Tin Bot and Rumble in the Dungeon.  I had to pay an additional $23 FedEx customs charge, that I wasn't happy about.  I thought this was taken care of by the Kickstarter project.

Pop Expo

Still sick.  I have a fever and hacking cough.  Then on Sunday the sickness added a runny nose, cough, and headache.  Took today off work.  I might go in on Tues, but I think I'm contagious.
I started feeling symptoms Friday night, and then going to the Pop Expo on Saturday probably didn't help.

I saw this professional cosplay girl posing for photographers.  Don't know who she is, but she was dressed up as the nine-tailed fox.

I picked up a bunch of Christmas presents and some stuff for myself: Coup game and a Red Shirt golf shirt.

Food on the weekend ->
Made my own Chicken Clay Pot bowl.  I lined the clay pot with lettuce and added some chopped chicken thighs.

Then added red onions, shitake mushrooms, tofu, and water chestnuts.

Step 2.

After, I poured in Coke and added some oyster sauce.  Then I made the mistake of adding lemon (more on that later).

Cooked it in the oven at 400C for 1hr.  It looked really good.

Stirred it up and added a hard boiled egg.  The dish was really good except for the sourness of the lemon.  Only those few sliced soured the whole dish.  I also thought the coke would solidify more and not be so watery. I should have added some potato starch.

Got a deep dish Hot n' Ready pizza from Little Ceasar's for lunch.

I also got a big box of 2-bite brownies from Costco for dessert.  These were super moist and rich!  I couldn't eat more than 5 :)  I shared the rest with the CMC crew.

I found a big box waiting for me at my doorstep after work.  I was my Kickstarted "Dark Darker Darkest" game.

Also as part of the Kickstarter campaign, I got the game "Metro".  It's suppose to be a very cut-throat game and you either like it, or hate it.

Dinner today -> #15XL Pho.
Ran some errands to Costco, Target, and Walmart tonight.  Then I dropped by KNH to pick up #15 XL Pho.  I was ready to go in less than 5 minutes :)  This fast service is amazing.  I stuffed myself while watching Supernatural.

Burned My Tongue

Dinner today -> Soup-filled Steamed Pork Buns.
Steamed a package of frozen soup-filled pork buns.  Really yummy.  As expected, I burned my tongue on the 1st bun.  I should have nibbled it and drank the soup first, instead of popping a whole one in my mouth and chomping on it.
