My stomach wasn't feeling well this morning at work.

I put together this shirt pretty cheaply.  $7 for the alien/crab thing from Target, $3 shirt from Micheals, and $1 for fake blood at the dollar store.

I was all set for this year's Trick or Treaters.  Just like last year, I used the no hassle method: stuck a box full of candy outside and let them help themselves.  The trick is to use the cheap candy like gum and lolipops.  If it was all chocolate bars/chips, someone will just dump the box.

Picked up some new Custom Kreons from Toys R Us.  Only got Prime, Megatron, and Soundwave.  Not sure if I'm going to keep these yet.  I'm not a big fan of these Kreons.

Curing New Stone Pan

Dinner today -> Bacon and Cookies.
Susanna got me a new stone pan.  I cured it today by cooking some bacon in the oven with it.

After the bacon grease soaked in, I drained some of it and then I put some frozen Felix and Norton chocolate macadamia cookies on it to bake.  These are cookies really rich and tasty, especially with the extra hint of soaked-in bacon flavour :)

Got a package in the mail from CD Japan.  It had AKB48's 33rd single "Heart Eleki" (Normal Types A, K, B, and 4), and Kashiwagi Yuki's 2nd single "Birthday wedding" (Limited Types A, B, C).  The bonus AKB photo was Yui-han :)  The bonus for Kashiwagi was photos and blind-pack keychains.

I also got a few books: Friday magazine featuring Kashiwagi, AKB49 manga vol 14, and Itano Tomomi's photobook (no wonder it was $6, it so small).

Got some discount chicken drumsticks at Walmart to make some butter chicken tonight.

On a whim, I picked up Ratatouille DVD at Walmart.  It was only $10.  I like the movie.  I've only watched it twice years ago.  Once on the plane to Japan, and 2nd on the way back from Japan.

Women of Marvel 2 Promo Cards

Lunch today -> Frank's Special Sandwich.
Picked up a few #1 Frank's Special sandwiches on Sunday for lunch this week.  So good, and so much meat (BTW: on Sunday, they are only open until 3pm).

I also got all 4 Rittenhouse's Women of Marvel Series 2 Promo cards.  I mailed away to Rittenhouse for P1, and got the other P2-P4 promo cards on eBay.  The cards will be released in a few weeks, but I haven't decided how many boxes I want to buy yet.  I'm hoping to pull a nice Rogue sketch.

Weekend Report: Crispy Spring Roll

Food this weekend ->
Steve, Ed, and I checked out the "Crispy Spring Roll" food truck in Stittsville.  They serve fast vietnamese food as well as the usual fries and burgers.

We all got pad thai.  Steve and I got beef and Ed got chicken.  It was pretty good for $7 incl tax.

Next time I want to try their meat and spuds combo (Vietnamese meat, small salad, and french fries all covered in gravy.

The CMC Strike Fighters softball team party was on Saturday at Alex's house.  Lots of food and a ton of desserts.  Alex makes a real mean chili, which was the highlight of the meal.  Sorry no pics.  I was near the end of the line for food and Stefano destroyed it all ;)
(Gary told the best joke I heard all year about rolling stops.)

Made a trip to T&T and got a few things: spicy beef tendon, BBQ pork ribs, and chicken liver and hearts.  The chicken liver and hearts were cooked in a new broth/sauce.  I don't like it.

Ed is renovating his basement and gave me his unwanted tube TV!  I put it in the basement and I'm going to hook up my NES and Genesis to it :)  I should hit the flea market and get some more games.

Tried out the new deep dish pizza at Little Caesar's.

It tastes pretty good.  It's got a nice crispy crust that is also chewy with a buttery flavour.  I like it, but I found my hand really greasy after a couple slices.  I'd get it again.

Got my Kickstarted game "Tomorrow: An Apocalyptic Nightmare" with the exclusive bonus wood pieces.  It's 4-6 players and the goal is to de-populate the world, but trying to de-populate your country the least.

$1000 Car Fix

Took my car to the garage for a tune up ($380), rust coating ($70), winter tire change (incl), and an unexpected brake pad change ($430).  Dropped $1000 just like that :(  I wanted to buy the new Lego Marvel Super Heroes game and Batman: Arkham Origins game too, but maybe I'll hold off...

Rookie Nurse?

Had to go get a blood test this morning.  Usually it's "in and out" really fast, but today I think I got a rookie nurse.  She jabbed my left arm a couple times and moved the needle around, but couldn't find the vein.  Then she switched sides and stabbed my right arm.  She got that arm on the first try, but I ended up like this:

Got a pack of rib fingers and roasted them in the oven on a bed of potatoes, carrots, onions, garlic, and sweet potatoes.

Found an old box of PC Fireside Shepperd's Pie in the freezer and nuked it for dinner.  I think it might have been in the freezer for almost 2 years.

Gordon picked up the Hot Wheels Max Steel bike for me.  Thanks.  He told me there is a white version too.  Haven't see it before.

Useless Gaming News:
Gaming at Brian's house.  Started with 3 player Exploding Cows but we didn't finish because Gordon arrived.  Started on 4 player Castles of Burgundy, but we didn't finish that game too because that's when Paul showed up. 
We did finish 5 player Touch of Evil with 3 maps.  Brian really wanted to play it for awhile now.  I'm kind of glad we are done with it.  Gordon and I didn't do much during the 3hrs.  Brian was ecstatic about collecting all Honour equipment (which was my plan at the start of the game because my character had a starting Honour 5, but I couldn't collect money(investigation) early enough to buy it).  I think we played the final boss showdown wrong too.  With the Villain were facing we were supposed to use our lowest stat to attack with.  Gordon and I did, but I don't think the others were following this rule.

3 Map Touch of Evil.

After that we finished with Hanabi.  This was a game I was planning to buy.  It's a unique cooperative game where everyone knows your hand except yourself.  The objective is to complete colour sets by playing cards 1 through 5 buy giving clues to other players on what to play.

Picked up the Theros "Face the Hydra" Event Deck.

This deck allows players to coop with their own decks against the Hydra deck.  I tried it with one of my decks on Easy (2 hydra heads) and I won easily.  The big factor was that I was using a Death Touch deck so it made it abit easier for me.  I'd be interested to try this deck on the hardest level with multiplayer type 1 decks.

TV Japan/NHK on  Rogers cable, the new "AKB48 SHOW!" is on Friday night at 12:10am.  Show about AKB48 doing skits and performing full version songs (not just the singles but stage songs and sub-unit songs).

Pacific Rim is Out

Picked up Pacific Rim today.  I think this movie is alot of fun to watch.  It's all action.
I got the 3D version so I can watch it in 3D at my parent's house sometime.  I'll only be using the DVD version at home :(

I don't know what to call this.  I just threw stuff in that was in the fridge.

Chopped up some nappa; sliced some sausages and white onion; shredded some straw mushroom, and poured in a can of quail eggs.  Then I added some red pepper paste and some sliced rice cakes.
