We went out for my grandpa's birthday dinner at "Fortune Express" in Kanata.
1st out was the soup. It was butternut squash with seafood. It was really buttery and the crab balls were made with real crab! It was really good, until Ben said it tasted just like Kraft Dinner cheese sauce. Then every spoon-full tasted just like KD. I still liked it and drank 2 bowls.
Chicken was next. It was served cold on purpose.

Something new was next: Slice Pork Neck with Mixed Greens. It was really tasty... for neck.
The black pepper steak was served differently than other restaurants. I found the steak overcooked and the peppercorns were huge and over powering.

Fried pork chops slathered in Thousand Island style mayonnaise. It's sounds nasty but tastes really really good.

The oyster omelette was full of ginger! Totally disgusting.
The red bean soup was not sweet at all.

I cooked the maple chipotle short ribs I got from Costco. It's no where near as good as my Korean Short Ribs, but the quality of the meat is really good. Not very fatty at all. I hope they sell the short ribs without any pre-marinade.
If these were cut into single rib sections, they would be really good for yakiniku.

Useless TV News:
The season finale of "The Walking Dead" Season 2 was Sunday night. It was really good. People died, lots of walkers died, and a new character with a katana (hint: a comic character) appears right at the end. Season 3 will be in the Prison. I already can't wait :)
Useless Gaming Info:
Ben and I met up with Gordon, Brain, Paul A, and Paul M for some board gaming. We played For Sale, Robo Rally, and A Game of Thrones.
For Sale is a quick auction game. Gordon and Brian tied for victory.
Robo Rally is really fun with alot of players. Lots of interference from other players to mess up you robot moves. Ben won this game.
A Game of Thrones is based off the first book. It's alright. It think the game needs something more, like a random "luck" factor that we didn't play with. Ben won this game too.

The new Bot Shots Launchers were out at Walmart. I got both Prime and Megatron.
