New Computer Soon

I picked up my new computer today.  I'm still setting it up.  I didn't think it would be completed this quick, so I wasn't ready for it yet.  I needed to vacuum my computer room first and move my old computer out of the way.  Other than that, nothing else going on today.

Weekend Report: Patio

Jeff, Linda, Everett, Katelyn, Ben, and I went to the Midway Family Fun Center.  We played a bunch of games and miniputt.  The kids rode some rides:

I was tempted to play this Giant UFO Claw machine.  The prize I want is the autographed Gretzky jersey.

I mastered one of the ticket machine games.  I hit the jackpot 4 times and won a ton of tickets.  I wanted to play more, but the guy who played it after me broke the machines!  In the end we had 218 tickets.  Everett bought alot of candy and tattoos with them.

Food this weekend ->
I recommend the new Kanata Noodle House (Vietnamese Restaurant). It's really good.  Jeff and Linda got a pork and beef vermicelli.

Ben and I got a large bowl of the Special Pho #15.  It's got a bit of everything in it.  The large bowl is huge!  It was really good with lots of noodles and meat.  I can't imagine what the XL bowl looks like.

Why didn't anybody tell me that my fly was down the whole day today!?!?  I only realized it when I got home.  Other than CMC, I went to Comic Book Shop, Toys R Us, and Sobey's today.
FYI: if anyone is looking for me at CMC on Friday, I took it off, so you won't find me.  If it's not raining, I'll be outside building my patio.

Dinner today -> Chicken and Vegetables in Mushroom Soup Sauce over Rice.
Pan cooked some chicken thighs to get the skin really crispy, and then added some frozen veggies and a can of cream of mushroom soup.

Useless Gaming News:
I finally decided on my latest gaming computer build and made the order today at RBComputing.  I also ordered 2 21" monitors for dual screen action.  All this just for Diablo3 :) 
The video card could be better, but the build was getting expensive.  If I didn't have to get the monitors, I might have gotten a better video card.

Dinner today -> Lobster Claws.
I wanted to get a Mammoth BBQ Chicken from Metro today, but I went too late (only 6:30pm) and they were all sold out.  I discovered today that Metro sells frozen lobster claws.  I got 5 claws.

Dinner today -> Fettuccine Alfredo with Steak.
Made some instant Fettuccine Alfredo and added sliced steak.  Also reheated the leftover potatoes from yesterday.

Weekend Report: Titans Everywhere

The Robot Hockey Championship Lunch was on Friday.  7 of 12 managers were able to attended.
We ordered 7 dishes: 2x Schezwan Beef, General Tao Chicken, Salt & Pepper Squid, Lemon Chicken, Singapore Style Vermicelli, and Snow Pea Tips with Garlic.

Food this weekend ->
Made some hotdogs.  I put the toppings on the bottom as it makes them less messy to eat.  Made 1 with just Miracle Whip and the other 2 with ketchup, mustard, and relish.

I saw "Dark" Chocolate Milk at Sobeys.  I got a carton.  It's good.  Much better than normal chocolate milk.  Tastes more rich.

Ben, Gordon, and I played Magic most of Saturday.  We played alot of games.  I uses my new decks and some updated decks too.  I'm liking my new Blue/Red deck alot.
I noticed we have alot of titans as finishers in our games. Espcially a lot of Inferno Titans.

AKB48's "Manatsu no Sounds Good!" video was shown over the weekend.  I don't really understand what is going on.
My guess at what is going on:

• The planet gets attacked by aliens and the senior members are dying.  
• The younger members come rescue them, but get infected (barfing black stuff) and they die too.  
• Only Mayu and Maeda make it to the road/bike.  
• Then Maeda kills Mayu and herself? and they all meet in the afterlife?

New Center?

I had a really early Mazda appointment this morning.  I wouldn't have been a big deal if I had gone to sleep at 12:30am last night.  But I couldn't fall asleep til 3am.  I just kept playing solitare on my iPhone in the dark until I got tired.  Because of that, all day today the back of my eyeballs felt like they were aching.  I was probably straining them too much trying to see in the dark.

Gavin, you might be interested in this Mayu news.
A short preview for AKB48's next single, "Manatsu no Sounds Good" was released.  It starts with a happy bikini dance, then some kind of explosion, and the older generation members dying.  The "next" generation members come to rescue their sempai, but some of them get picked off with exploding headshots.  It's kind of cool and gruesome at the same time.

The big thing to notice about the video, is it looks like Watanabe Mayu is being pass the torch as the new center to take over for the graduating Maeda Atsuko.  It'll be a big responsibility on the CG idol.

I normally don't like popcorn out of a bag, but this new popcorn by Snack Ups is uber good!

The popcorn is still crunchy, fresh, and not over-powerly sweet.  The other brands are usually chewy, stale tasting, and covered with sugar or caramel.  I highly recommend this.  I got it at Rexall Pharmacy.

I made some sandwiches with the leftover chicken from yesterday.  I made the chicken salad with a generous amount of Miracle Whip, chopped green onion, and freshly ground black pepper.  Added tomato slices and leaf lettuce to the toasted sandwich.  Added a side of popcorn.

I got a quick 2 word reply from one of my co-workers with a slight typo in it, "Pro noblem".  It made me chuckle :)

I went back to Metro today and got the Tuesday Special: a Mammoth Chicken for $6.99.  I shredded all the meat into 2 bowls: 1 for the congee tonight and 1 for later to make chicken salad sandwiches.

Dinner today -> 1/2 Price Ribs.
Every Monday at Metro, a rack of pork ribs are $6.99 and they are pretty good.  The draw back is that they are fall of the bone ribs, and not the rip of the bone ribs that I prefer.
I got 2 racks: 1 for dinner today, and 1 for lunch Tuesday.

I was cleaning up over the weekend and found a $10 roll of tokens from Midway.  I had bought these with a 2-for-1 coupon a very long time ago, when Midway used to be located by the Museum of Science and Tech.  I should make a trip to their new location and spend them... maybe little Everett and Katelyn will want to go and Wack some Moles or Smash Alligators or Jeff and I can do some racing.

Weekend Report: Annoying Neighbours

My new neighbours have been practicing bass guitar for hours and hours.  It is SUPER ANNOYING!  It goes right through the wall! They used to practice during the day when I didn't care, but now they are practicing at night.  I'm blasting my TV to try and block it out, but it's not really working.
UPDATE:
It's still going on at 10pm Sunday night!  I'm currently aiming my speakers at the wall and blasting some AKB music :)  I'll turn it off when I feel like sleeping around 1:30-2am-ish.

I watched Jackie Chan's Black Dragon movie.  The DVD box said it was an action/comedy, and the reviews were very favourable.  After watching it, I found it not very good.  It had 1 good fight scene and 1 scene where I laughed.  Some parts felt long.  It felt more like a drama than an action/comedy.  I don't recommend it.

McDonald's Fruit Smoothies are $1 this week (Monday Apr 16 to Apr 22).  I got the Strawberry Banana one on Friday to try out. It's only ok.  Booster Juice is better, but for $1, it'll be worth it.

In one game, I took alot of damage and ended my turn on a laser.  Then the next turn all I got were rotate cards.  Since I couldn't get off of the laser, I blew up.  It wouldn't have been too bad if I had not had lost 2 lives earlier by getting pushed into pits.
