Bistro

Moon Cake is on sale at T&T.  Ed and I split a 4 pack of 2-Yolk Lotus Paste Moon Cakes.

Lunch today -> Kungfu Bistro
Ed, Steve, and I tried out Kungfu Bistro for lunch today.
The decor is stylish.  Pictures of Jackie Chan, Bruce Lee, Avatar the Last Air Bender, Kungfu Panda, etc.
Jackie Chan Sketch.
The furniture is modern, but seems to have an unintentional Japanese Arch theme.

We ordered the House Special Chow Mein, Salt and Pepper Shrimp (blue belt), Chicken with Mushrooms and Baby Corn (my mom makes it extactly like this), and Crispy Beef (black belt).  The belts indicate the level of spicyness.  Black Belt was not hot for us.  We should have gotten Grand Master level.

The food is OK, but very small portions.  Maybe 1/3 the size of Rideau Restaurant.  The food is also Canadian Chinese food, not the traditional stuff.
The price is expensive for the portion size.  There is also a charge for tea ($2.95) and rice ($2.95).
We left the place with our stomachs unsatisfied.  Not sure what Steve and Ed was able to scrounge up to eat at work, but I atleast had my moon cake and a dark chocolate mousse cup to top me up.
Conclusion: Probably won't be going back unless the price to portion size is alot better.
Lesson Learned: Just go to Rideau Restaurant.  They don't have the decor, but the food, portions, and price are unbeatable.
