AKB48 on Music Station this past weekend.  The performed KFC and Heart Ereki.  Kojima Haruna sang Heart Ereki live too.

BTW: There seemed to be an uncommon amount of Oshima Yuko close-ups by the cameraman.

Weekend Report - Mmmm Gourmet Doughnuts!

Food this weekend ->
Made a simple dinner on Friday, Polish Sausages with instant Mash Potatoes.  Got the polish sausages from Costco.

Went to my grandma's grave for a visit with the family.  We made offerings of food and money.  Ben, Susanna, and I contributed Tteokbokki,

In box 1 we got 3 Maple Bacon, Cookies & Creme, Bangkok Peanut, and Caramel Gravel Road.

Useless Gaming News:
4 player gaming at Gordon's.  Started with Crokinole.  Ben and I team against Gordon and Brian.  It's a pretty fun game.  I played it before, but the bumpers were just wooded pegs instead of rubber pegs.  So the discs didn't fly like this board.  Ben and I won both games.

Deadwood Studios.  Neat idea for a dice rolling game.  Play as actors in a Western Movie and you complete scenes to make money and stardom  Pretty good.

Picked up my Theros Fat Pack and 2 Booster boxes.  My Fat Pack was awesome.  I pulled 3 mythic rares from it including Elspeth ($40 - money card in the set).  After opening all the packs, I got 3 Elspeths in the end.

UPDATED: Walk the Plank

New Magic: the Gathering set comes out tomorrow: Theros.  Set looks pretty cool and has some good cards that I will need.

Useless Gaming News:
Got a Kickstarted game in the mail today.
I my official copy of "Walk the Plank".  We've been playing this for months already so it's not that exciting.  I'm also disappointed with the wood meeples included in the box.  The paint was not done very well with other colours splashed on them, and one of the meeples was chipped.  It looked cheaply made.  The pirate stickers from the add-on package covered up the defects, but the sticker sheet was too small for the pieces.  My Print and Play version is better than the real version.
I also got the deluxe version of "Get Bit" with a bunch of extras (Shark-Squid-Dolphin expansion, extra players, and stickers), but the expansions didn't come with the instructions for how to play with them!  That's so stupid!
I'm very disappointed with the effort Mayday Games company put towards their Kick Starter product.

I found 10 Lotto Max tickets in my fall jacket pocket from last year.  I forgot all about them and I checked them today to see if I won any Millions.  No millions, but I’m $40 and 1 free ticket richer :) (except it cost me $50 last year to buy the tickets).

Dinner today -> Meat Sauce Rice.
Cooked some ground beef, mushrooms, and onions in pan with some beef broth and sour cream to make a meat sauce.

My team got drafted last night in my Yahoo Hockey Pool.  I think my team is pretty good.  It's full of multi-position players :)  I think I need a 3rd goalie, incase Crawford or Miller get hurt and because BUF is not going to get alot of wins this year.

Got a couple things in the mail today.  First I got my autograph card of Jaqen H'Gar (Tom Wlaschiha) from Game of Thrones Season 2.  Got it for a good price on eBay.
I also got 2 booster boxes of the AKB0048 Precious Memories cards.  This took awhile to get here from Japan.  I'm hoping to pull a Yuko and Kashiwagi autograph.

Everett's birthday was on Saturday.  I got him some new Transformers Botshots: Beast Hunter Optimus Prime, Scourge, and Barricade.

Fall officially starts today.  My favorite time of year.  It's not too hot like summer, and not too cold like winter.

I was planning on going to the Ottawa Senator's Fan Fest to get some used equipment, but I wasn't feeling well on Saturday morning.  I caught Susanna's cough/cold!!!  I took some medicine and used some nasal spray.  It worked, but the side effect it had was that I was up almost all night Saturday (4:30am).

Food this weekend ->
Held the annual Robot Hockey Pool Lunch on Friday.  Only 6 of the team managers made it out to Rideau Restaurant.  We ordered some of the usual dishes (schezwan beef, lemon chicken, general Tao's chicken) and some new dishes (seafood chow mein, sizzling black pepper steak, and salt & pepper porkchops).

Had dinner at home with the family.  My mom picked up the assorted meat platter from T&T and my dad picked up dishes from Rideau Restaurant: fish & tofu, salt & pepper shrimp, clear rice noodles, and beef & chinese greens.  My mom also made fish maw soup with lobster (it needed more fish maw).

Took today off to watch the live stream of AKB48's Janken tournament.  SKE48's ace Matsuri Jurina won and will be center in the 34th AKB48 single.
