Weekend Report: Happy Birthday Grandpa!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANDPA!!!

Food this weekend ->
I made a big batch of Mabo Tofu on Friday.  I gave 1/3 to my parents, 1/3 to my grandparents, and destroyed the rest with some rice.
Mabo Tofu with Rice.

We went to Golden Restaurant in Barrhaven for my Grandpa's birthday dinner.  We got Dinner for 6B +3 dishes (10 dishes total for 7 people).
We got Fish Maw Soup with Chicken (my favorite soup),
Chicken Fish Maw Soup.

Steamed 1/2 Chicken (Ben's preferred version of chicken),
Steamed Chicken.

Liver and Kidneys with Onions and Ginger (not worth it and not that good, Chu Shing is way better and they use garlic chives),

Salt and Pepper Shrimp (huge plate of really big shrimps, and perfectly fried so the shell is crispy),

Fried Fish Steaks with Soy Sauce (very good),

Mushrooms and Fungus over Chinese Greens,
Veggie Plate.

Fish 2 Ways (this is the best way to order fish: 1. the outside is deep fried so the bones are editable. 2. the inside meat is taken out, stir fried, and put back),

Taro Duck (huge plate of 1/2 boneless duck topped with taro and deep fried.  One of my favorite dishes),

Deep Fried Intestines over Pickled Radishes and Carrots (crispy and chewy at the same time.  So good :) ),
