Mama Mia! It's Stuffed Meatballs!

Dinner today -> Meatballs stuffed with Quail Egg and Jalapeno Havarti Cheese.
I put this together in about 30 mins after work today.

I should have made the meat balls bigger. A few of them split open when I fried them to seal the juices in. I forgot the beef shrinks when cooked.

Today in Japan was "Coming of Age Day". It's when people who turned 20 during the past year, gather together, dressed in their best kimonos or suits for a formal ceremony, as now they are considered adults.

Weekend Report - Teppan

Magic and some board games were played over the weekend. The new games we tried were BANG!, Citadels, and Formula D.
BANG! is a pretty good Western game. I think it'll be even more fun with more players.
I like Citadels too. Alot of strategy is involved in guess what other players will do.
Gordon and Ben ran away with 1st and 2nd in the Formula D racing game, but 3rd place came down to me and Jane. I rolled 1 space short of the finish line. Jane had to roll 18+ on a d20 to beat me, and she did!

I had plans to make other things to eat, but I was busy playing "AKB 1/48" on PSP (I finally got the Yuko ending ^_^).

Jane made some really good peanutbutter with M&M cookies and ginger with chocolate chip cookies this weekend, but I forgot to take a picture of them.
Jane, if your reading this, make some more cookies next time and remind me to take a pic :)

Useless Japan Info:
I sometimes watch this 15min drama on NHK called "Teppan". It's on every week night at 9:40pm. It's about the ups and downs of a girl trying to opening her own teppan yaki restaurant.
The main reason I watch this show is for the opening. I don't know why, but I like the opening theme song and the amusing dance associated with it :)

The leader of Morning Musume, Takahashi Ai, announced she is graduating from the group this fall! This is huge news! I think she is the only one holding Morning Musume together and the only one in the group who can sing.

Dinner today -> Chicken and Mushroom Congee.
I made some congee with shredded chicken, Chinese mushrooms, and preserved egg for dinner today, but after I made it, I was in the mood for sushi (@.@). The congee was tasty and filling, but not as satisfying as it could have been. Maybe I'll make sushi this weekend...

I read the other day that inorder to get everything in the AKB 1/48 game, you need to finish the game with each girl atleast 3 times!!! 48 x3 = 144 times. That's nuts! I'm having enough trouble trying not to reject them and trying to reject them.

AKB48's Itano Tomomi's 1st solo single "Dear J". She debuted it on New Year's Day at "CDTV Special Live" right after this year's Red and White End of Year Music Show (BTW: Red Team lost).

Devoured Chicken.

Dinner today -> Metro BBQ Chicken.
I bought a BBQ chicken after work from Metro. I got it home and proceeded to devour it. I can't believe I ate the whole thing (minus 1 drumstick, thigh, and wing that I saved for lunch tomorrow) in 10 minutes! I didn't realize I was that hungry.
The only part that slowed me down was the chicken breast. It was dry.

I watched some of the World Junior Championship Hockey game between Canada and Russia. I couldn't believe CAN blew the 3-0 lead in the 3rd period and lost the gold medal game 5-3. Major collapse.

New Butler

On Jan 1 nothing was open, so Susanna, my mom, and I went to an auction at the Sensplex. My mom got a couple of vases and I got myself a Butler :)

I'm going to by some chalk and write stuff on the Butler's sign. Maybe I'll replace my SD Transformers in my food pics? Probably not.

I think for the next auction, I'm going to get either a new dining table set or a new leather sofa set (Level 5 leather). The stuff they had at the last auction was good, and it went for dirt cheap!

Useless Idol News:
Just before Christmas AKB48 won "Best Single" at 2010 Japan Record Awards. The performed a full version of "Beginner" with an orchestra playing the music.

My "Beginner" sheet music got delayed in Japan, as it is currently out of stock, but I'm in no rush for it. I think it'll be too hard for me to play on piano. I got "Ponytail to Shushu" sheet music and that one is uber hard.

I was over at Marc/Jes's house for New Year's Eve. It was a black tie dinner. Very fancy and good food.

My sleep pattern is also totally messed up. I've been staying up til 5am and waking up around noon most days. One night, I didn't even go to sleep! I have to fix all this for work on Tuesday... or I could just stay up all night?

Useless Idol Info:
I got the AKB48 game for PSP during the holidays, and I've been playing it alot.

It really helps that the whole game speaks all the lines, so I can (sometimes) kind of figure out what is going on. The problem is that I'm guessing on the replies to the girl's questions. I rejected both Mocchi and Riechan on my 1st two replies, and eliminated them both from the game.
