Lunch today -> Expensive Hamburger.
No food trucks today at Kanata Hub, but there was a BBQ.  I got a hamburger, chips, and drink for $6.  I shouldn't have gotten it.  It wasn't worth it.  I was a warm hamburger and cold bun.  The chips were ok.  For a drink I could have taken a can, but I went with the fresh lemonade.  I should have taken the can.  The lemonade was good, but it was in a small cup, and the lady didn't even fill it to the top!  I won't be getting the BBQ again next time they are there.

Dinner today -> Rosemary Steak and Garden Salad.
I marinated a couple steaks overnight in olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and rosemary.

Useless Idol News:
I ordered 3 more boxes of AKB48 Treasure Cards.  I was missing 1 playing card and about 10 member cards for the set, from the previous 3 boxes I bought.

Cracked the boxes open and I completed my regular set, playing card set (and an extra playing card set), and pulled an Autograph Card.  This time I got AKB48 Team 4 member Murayama Yuiri.

Useless Transformers News:
Japanese version of Combiner Wars Devastator is now available for pre-order on AmiAmi.  Nothing at HLJ yet.  I think I recall the difference to the North American version is there will be elbow joints and will include both the regular head and the SDCC head.

2 Wins in the Rain and I Swallowed a Bug

Useless Softball News:
CMC Strike Fighters played a double-header vs Sons of Pitches tonight.  They are the top team in our division (and we beat them last year to win the championship). 
We waited for the rain to stop around 8pm and started Game #1.  We won 11-10, thanks to Jeno who was 0-for-3 until he hit the game winning home run at our last at-bat.  I had a pop-up play at home, that I didn't catch because when I ran to get the ball a bug flew into my mouth and I swallowed it.  It felt like it was clinging on to my throat for awhile until I flushed it down with some water.

During Game #2 it started to rain and then turned to drizzle. but it was a warm drizzle.  We were drenched by the time we finished.  We won 13-5.  Jeno made the play of the game when he recovered an overthrow at 3rd to get it to me, getting a batter trying to get an in-the-field-homerun.  It was a quick blind throw and a blind catch (only got a glimpse of the ball at the last second).
Tonight's MVP was Gary.  He controlled the game with his pitching and struck out 7 batters (1 girl and the same 1 guy 6 times)
Honourable Mention: Shawn hit 3-for-3 with 3 homeruns in Game #2.

Saw this baseball play on Twitter.  It reminded me of our team during the tournament in the 1st morning game.

Burnt Hot Dogs

Lunch today -> Chicken Thighs and Cheese.
Went home for lunch and ate leftover burnt BBQ chicken thighs with some old cheddar cheese cubes.  The combo actually works.

I'm still rusty with my BBQ skills.  I even burnt some of the hotdogs today.

Ate them with some ketchup, mustard, relish, and cheddar cheese.  They look good and they didn't really taste too burnt.

Picked up the North American version of Protectobot Groove.  He merges with Defensor to make a chest plate instead of the leg.

Weekend Report -> Burnt BBQ Chicken

Food this weekend ->
My old grills on the BBQ were showing some rust, so I bought new grills.  Broke them in by BBQing some chicken thighs.  I greased the grill with olive oil and then made the mistake of putting the skin side down over high heat.  The skin stuck :(  While cooking, I also burnt most of the skin on some of them too.

Opened up my 2 big boxes of KickStarted Zombicide 3.  I got everything :)  I still need to open up everything and sort it all in to my storage box.

AKB48 did the 1st performance of their 41st single (Election single) on The Music Day (July 4th).  It's called "Halloween Night" (ripped from YouTube).

Pegasus Card

Took today and Friday off.  Got abunch of stuff done in the yard today.  I cleaned the BBQ too, but I melted my grill brush because the heat was too high.  Some bristles and the metal scrapper melted off!  Bought a new wooden grill brush.

Lunch 2 days ago -> Sabai Thai.
Went to Sabai Thai on Tuesday with the boyz.  The food was good, but lunch portion sizes was small.  We shared plates so we can sample abit of everything, but I'm sure Ed was still hungry.  I could have eaten more too.
Started with free soup.  Cilantro and ginger in it... :(

We shared red curry chicken, green curry chicken, pad thai, and pad gra tiem prik thai (item C).  The curries were very good.

I'd like to recommend this place, but portion size to price was an issue for me.

Dinner today -> Shrimp Roll.
I was thinking of getting a lobster Subway sandwich at lunch today, but it was $14.  I got my usual coldcut trio instead.  I decided to make my own lobster roll, but using shrimp instead.  Just shrimp, 1/2 lemon, Hellmann's mayo, cocktail sauce, green onions, and Sriracha hot sauce.  It came out abit watery.

Useless Gaming News:
5-Player gaming Tuesday night at Anthony's.  We started with Inner Circle.

Then we played a couple games of Cyclades.  Supposed to be an aggressive war game, but we were playing too passive.  OK game for me.  I found Zeus's priest's power is abit over powered.
The final game, Anthony banked everything on drawing the Pegasus card to win.  He had enough gold to cycle through all the monster cards in the deck, except for the last card.  Guess what.  The last card was the Pegasus :)

Lunch today -> Instant Dry Ramen
Made some Japanese instant dry ramen with squid today.  It's like instant ramen, but you drain the water and then mix in the sauce.  Pretty good for a quick lunch.

Brought the leftover Black Forest cake and Frutti Di Bosco cake to work.  Had a slice of each for a snack.  The others destroyed the rest.

Speaking of cake, Uncle Tetsu's Cheesecake shop has a branch store in Toronto.  I'd like to give the Japanese cheesecake a try sometime.
