Indian Clay Oven

Lunch today -> Indian Clay Oven.
Some of us from CMC went out for lunch for Eric's good-bye lunch at the Indian Clay Oven. The food there is not bad. The nan bread and butter chicken are pretty good. I like the lamb too. The beef not so much (the meat was dry and tough).

Useless Idol News:
Another package in the mail today. I got AKB48's 24th Single "Ue kara Mariko" Type A and K CDs with bonus photos, and Oshima Yuko 2012 calendar.

The calendar comes in a giant card sleeve (similar to a top load) and each month is a giant card. Changing months is done by changing the card, and keeps the poster in mint condition :)

Yuko also attended the Final Fantasy XIII-2 event today. She was one of the beta-testers for the game and also designed one of the outfits worn by the main female lead in the game. She cosplayed in her costume at the event.

Transformers: FoC

Went to Toys R Us with Marc to help him carry a recliner sofa he ordered. While there I picked up Tranformers: Prime - Optimus Prime and Megatron 2 pack. FYI: All Transformers are 30% off.
I also scored a chase PK Subban figure. I got #96 of 3000.

TRU wasn't as busy as I thought it would have been. Maybe it's just the calm before the storm...

Dinner today -> Garlic Butter Salmon.
Quick fried some sliced salmon in garlic butter. I cooked them just enough so that the outside was cooked while keeping the middle rare. It could have used a splash of lemon, but I didn't have any in the fridge. I ate the salmon with a bagel.

The latest "Transformers: Fall of Cybertron" trailer was shown at the 2011 Video Game Awards on the weekend. The game comes out Fall 2012.

Bad Gift Wrapping

I started wrapping some of my Christmas gifts tonight. I'm recycling my old Marvel Previews Magazine as wrapping paper. It looks neat, but my wrapping job needs work :(

Weekend Report: Sushi Dryrun

I dressed up with a shirt and tie on Friday to meet with some customers at CMC. I wore my Christmas tie :)

Food this weekend ->
Stir-fried some sliced steak with onions and veggies. At first it was just going to be a whole steak with veggies, but I changed it up on the fly. I sliced the steak and re-fried it to some caramelized the onions for 20 seconds. Topped it with mixed veggies.

I did a small dryrun of the sushi I was going to make for our family Christmas Feast.
I needed to test out a new type of sushi rice my parents bought. It's pretty good. I'll be using it.
I also experimented with a Chicken Nugget and Avocado roll. It tastes good, but it doesn't work well with soy sauce. I made some for Ben and Susanna to get their input too.
Also made some basic salmon rolls and salmon with avocado rolls.

CMC Christmas Lunch

Lunch today -> CMC Christmas Lunch.
Today was the CMC Christmas Lunch. It's got the standard turkey, stuffing, peas and carrots, mash potatoes, salad, and lots of desserts.

I made hotdogs for dinner. I dressed them with ketchup, mustard, and wasabi mayo.

Got a couple packages in the mail today. I got my AKB48 Trading Cards.

After opening all the packs, I found I'm missing quite abit of cards for the base set and I got alot of doubles :( Atleast most of the rares were not doubles and the ones that are, were foil rares. I also got 3 box toppers (Takamina, Maeda, and Mayu), 1 Autograph card (Iwasa Misaki 10/120), and 1 Jersey Card(Abe Maria 049/400).

Shopping Day

I used some banked time to take today off to do some Christmas shopping. That was the original plan, but I only got 1 gift. Everything else I bought was for me... :)
Picked up a Marvel Megablocks Series 1 pack (got rare black-suit Spiderman), Alex Burrows Chase figure, and PK Subban Regular figure from Zellars.

Useless Food Question:
Susanna and I are looking for Nutchos Chocolates. I don't think they make them any more? Does anyone know where you can buy these chocolates? I looked for them at Walmart and Zellars.

Picked up some sushi to go from Sushi Shop in the Place d'Orleans food court. I was surprised that it was really good.

Pineapple Overload

I've been eating alot of pineapple lately. I think it's 3 pineapples in 6 days now. I just got 2 more :) They're not on sale anymore, so I should switch back to oranges.

FYI: I think you get more pineapple from uncut containers than pre-cut ones, because sometimes when I finish cutting them, I can't get all the pieces back into the container.

I completely forgot I have Japanese Christmas chocolates that Gavin and Emi sent me last year. I brought them to work today to eat them. Not sure if I will share them or not... :)
