Useless Gaming News:
Been busy and out late since Saturday.  Anthony, Jeff, Ben and I are doing the Gold Rush Canada - Ottawa game.  We need to figure out the 10 puzzles in order and "who shot the Boss?" by going around to places in the city to win $80,000.  We are currently stuck on Level 3, but as of this afternoon, they said that no one else has gotten to Level 4 yet too.  So are still in the running.

Useless Softball News:
Took a break from the Gold Rush to play softball tonight.  We played Washups tonight, the top team in our division.  It was a defensive game until the 6th inning.  We were tied 2-2 going in.  We scored 1 run in our half, but they scored 6 in their's.  We couldn't score anything after that, and lost 3-8.
Tonight, I hit 3-for-3: Double, Single and Single; with 1 RBI.

Dinner today -> Salmon.
Salmon is on sale at Sobey's.  Picked up a big filet for $12.  Pan steamed it with salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder and onion powder.  I was going to do lemon and dill, but the lemon I had in the fridge was all shriveled up.

Jes made me some fresh lemon squares.  I was planning on eating some after taking my post-softball shower, but I forgot about them in the fridge til 1am.  I didn't want to eat them that late, so I'll have to eat them tomorrow.

Useless Softball News:
Strike Fighters just beat out Packing Dingers tonight 15-12.  We were leading going into the last inning 8-10.  They scored 4 to go ahead 12-10.  We got to bat and tied it 12-12 with 2 out and runners on 1st and 2nd.  Jeff came through and hit his first home run in a long time and got us the win.
I hit 3-for-3 tonight: single, single, double.

Got Transformers Siege: Jetfire in the mail yesterday.  He is huge!

The hand gimmick is a great idea to hold his gun.  He also has a reversable Autobot/Decepticon symbol on his chest (to mimmick the G1 cartoon where he switches sides).

Made a big pot of casserole to eat all weekend.

Some ground beef, mix vegetables, garlic, onions, pasta and a can of cream of chicken soup mixed with a can of cream of mushroom soup as the binding sauce.  I bought cheese to add to it too, but I forgot it.

Went out for dim sum on Saturday for my grandma's birthday.  We went to the Beijing Legend on Bank St.  The food there is excellent.

After lunch on Saturday, Susanna and I went for abit of shopping.  It was so hot, that we stopped at IKEA on the way home to get some frozen yogurt cones.  This hit the spot on such a hot day.

Useless Softball News:
Big win for the Strike Fighters tonight in the 38C humidity.  We beat Siemens 32-13.  They're a new team in a lower tier, and their fielding needs some work.
I hit 2-for-3 tonight: ground out, walk, walk, single, and single.

Weekend Report -> Siege Starscream

Food this weekend ->
Our monthly gaming session at Sheridan's house was this Sunday.  We played Raiders of the North Sea, Raiders of the North Sea with Hall of Heroes expansion, Puerto Rico, and Princes of Florence.  James won all 4 games we played!  I wasn't even close in any of them.
Anyways, after gaming, I hit Bayshore for some discount sushi (Bayshore closes at 6pm on Sunday so it goes BOGO at 5pm).  Got 4 boxes :).  I got 2 Avocado salmon, 1 eel, and 1 inari.  The inari (tofu pocket) was too sweet.

Useless Transformers News:
I finally found Seige Starscream at Kanata Toys R Us.  The chest piece on him was really loose when I transform him.  It's meant to come off, but it's not easy to try and transform him while trying to keep it on.
Didn't see any Botbots Series 2 single blind packs or any 5 packs.

Lunch today -> Sushi
Got a late dinner Tuesday night.  I went to Bayshore at 8pm and picked up BOGO sushi.  I got 4 boxes: 2 avocado salmon and 2 Dragon roll combo.  I was full after eating both salmon avocado boxes.  Took the other 2 for lunch today, but I wasn't too hungry so gave 1 box to Ed.

I like the salmon avocado and it is totally worth it, even at regular price (big pieces of salmon in it).  The Dragon roll combo comes with 4 pieces each of the golden dragon roll (made of tempura shrimp, cucumber, avocado, salmon, flying fish eggs), california roll (I don't like and I don't consider it sushi), and spicy salmon roll (good heat and tasty), but I don't think this combo is that great.

Useless Toy News:
Since I was at Bayshore, I went to EB Games and finally found X-Men Legends: Beast and Jubilee.   They cashier told me he had just put those on the shelf an hour ago.  He said I was lucky as these 2 always go first.

Found the new Battle Masters Pteraxadon and Aimless at Bayshore Walmart.  Also Bayshore EB Games had the new Decepticon Sports Car patrol (with correct Blackjack head mold).

Comeback Win

Dinner today -> Discount Loblaws Food
Went to Loblaws after softball today.  Picked up a pack of 5 wings and spuds for $2.50.  It was 50% off.  I also got a pack of peanut butter cookies for 50% off ($4).  The cookies will be good for tomorrow.  Steve is on vacation, so I'm going to eat them at his desk and leave crumbs everywhere ;)

Useless Softball News:
Strike Fighters with the comeback win tonight.  We played "Pitching Aces" (I think?). We were down 11-13 in the top of the last inning.  We batted first and scored 5 runs to take the lead.  We then held them off the score sheet during their half of the inning to win 16-13.
I hit 3-for-4 tonight: fly-out, single, single, and single.  I did score 2 RBI too.

Food this weekend ->
Got a Hawaiian pizza from Willy's Pizza on Friday.  Might not have been the best choice for dinner.  It was stupid hot outside and getting a fresh hot pizza that was oozing cheese, just made me sweat more.  It was good pizza, but I had to let it cool down before eating more than 1 slice.

Made linguini pasta on Saturday night.  I added whole garlic cloves, shrimps, and a few cheese sausage chunks; all mixed in a creamy cheese sauce.

Picked up a booster box of Core Set 2020 with the "Buy-a-Box" promo.  Didn't have time to open it yet.  Still busy doing the basement (shelving is now 90% done), and when I'm not, I'm playing more Bloodstained on Nintendo.  I think I'm almost half-way through the game.

Happy Canada Day Long Weekend!

Didn't post for a few days.  Busy doing my basement and playing alot of Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night on Nintendo Switch (I played so much I got Nintendo thumb and my eyes hurt). 
I got my TV stand built (Lappland from Ikea), got a new Rogers box with HDMI output, and setup the new 55" TV (I had bought last Black Friday, 7 months ago).

I got some Jerk Chicken from Nu Caribbean last Friday.  It's been awhile since I've been there, and I wanted the fish special, but they don't have Fish Friday anymore :(  That sucked.  It was really good too.  Their jerk chicken is good too.  I got it with rice & beans and vegetables.

On Canada Day Monday, I went to get the Monday Special from Big Bone BBQ: full rack of ribs, 1lb of wings, and a large fry for $25.

Got a email today that my booster box of Japanese War of the Spark was in.  I got it for the great price of $159.  Most other stores are charging $300 for the box.
