Lunch today -> T&T
Picked up a 4-Item family meal from T&T at lunchtime today.  Took it to my parent's house to eat.  I got (left to right) salt & pepper fish, lotus root with pork, sweet & sour pork, and bean curds with mushrooms.  It also came with a huge container of rice and fish maw soup.

Kanata RibFest Starts this Thursday til Sunday.  It's at the Walter Baker Park.  I'm going even-though I just made ribs this weekend.  I wouldn't have known about this unless I saw the ad at Kobold's Corner's door.

I was at the LCBO today and I picked up the Game of Thrones: Three-Eyed Raven Dark Ale.  Didn't even know this was released.  I guess I missed the Night Watch ale.

Useless Softball News:
CMC Strike Fighters played our last 3 games of the season tonight in a triple header against Mad Dogs
The first game we lost 21-19 in a slugfest.  I hit 2-for-4, with a triple, a single, and got out going for an in-the-field-homerun (would have been another triple).
We won game 2, 17-11.  Game shouldn't have been that close but our defense wasn't playing well.  We pull off a cool run-down play between 3rd and home.  I hit 3-for-3 with a 2 triples and a single.
The final game ended 10-9 for us.  We had to stop because the lights turned off at 11:30pm.  I hit 2-for-2 with 2 singles.
I left for the games at 5:30 and didn't get home til midnight.  I'm hungry but too tired to cook.  And my feet are so sore!

Long Labour Day Weekend Report: Heat Wave

My phone kept alerting me all weekend that there was a heat warning.  With humidex it was high 30's and it's supposed to continue through to Tuesday night.  Got a triple-header softball game Tuesday night, so I hope it lets up.  But as usual, there is a threat of rain too.

Friday was Force Friday.  Checked out the new stuff that was released, and picked up the new light sabre.  It's not that great.  I thought it was the button release version, but it just flips open.

Food this weekend ->
Had a farewell lunch for one of the summer co-op students on Friday at The Barley Mow.  I ordered the Lunch Special: sausage chimichanga and cheese & potato cream soup.  It was surprisingly really good.  I haven't been there is a long while, but the food there was usually not good.  I guess they upgraded the food.

Made breakfast sausages for lunch on Saturday.  They I made 4 sunny-side-up eggs in the grease, but the eggs stuck.  I had to flip the pan an the plate (because I didn't want to dirty a spatula).  In doing so, I popped all the egg yolks :(

Made ribs on Sunday.  Finished with a thin layer of "No Limits" BBQ sauce and then caramelized in the oven on broil.  They were "fall off the bone" too.  Not the way I like, but really good.  I ate the ribs with Caesar salad.

5-Player gaming at Brian's Friday night.  Brian ordered Batman Fluxx for me to push his order amount for free shipping.

Got a couple AKB48 CDs in on Friday.  It was "Halloween Night" Type C regular and limited editions.

AKB48's "Halloween Night" Music Station performance was pretty cool.  The girls did magic tricks but with 1 fail.  :)

Lunch today -> Burger King.
Had a late lunch today (3:30pm).  I was going to go after gaming lunch today, but I had to get some work reviewed before going.  I went to Burger King and got 2 Whopper Jrs and 20 chicken nuggets.  I asked for BBQ sauce, but they didn't put any in the bag!  The chicken nuggets are on sale 10 for $1.99.  It went up 20cents from last time.

Dinner today -> Sushi.
Went to Bayshore after gaming night to pick up discount sushi.  Got both of these boxes for $12.

Useless Gaming News:
Gaming lunch today was 6-player Eggs and Empires.  This game gets more fun everytime we play it.  Revenge is always a factor when deciding who to give exploding eggs to :) 
Gaming Night tonight was 4-player Small World.  Good game with lots of replay-ability.  I lost big.  I tried a tactic to try and cycle through my races every other round, but it doesn't really work.  I only scored more than 10 points once in the game, while the others were getting 10+ points frequently.  I also basically wasted 4 turns of 9 putting my race into decline and doing nothing.

Useless Toy News:
This Friday is Force Friday.  All the new Star Wars toys will be released then.  I went to check Toys R Us and Walmart late tonight to see if anything go released early, but there wasn't any.  Only found some new Episode 7 bicycle helmets of BB-8 at Walmart.
This BB-8 toy is really cool.  Tempted to get it.  Don't want the cheaper non-controllable one from the Disney Store.

Useless Transformers News:
Finally got my United Warriors 01 Superion set in from Japan.  I was try to save on shipping by waiting 60 days for something else to be released, but nothing else came out.  Nice cover art with a magnetic flap.

The magnetic flap opens to reveal all 5 original Aerialbots.  This set includes Slingshot instead of Alpha Bravo.  All Aerialbots are painted G1 colours too.

Busy day today.  Made a quick trip to Little Ceasar's for Hot n Ready pizza.

Dinner today -> Greek and Chinese Food.
An Impromptu 2nd Birthday Dinner for my dad.  We ate Greek food from Greek on Wheels and beef chow mein from Rideau Restaurant.  The chow mein plate was noticeably smaller than normal.

We ate a strawberry layer cake afterwards.  It was really good.  I got it from Sobeys.  It just needs more strawberries.
