Bravo in a Pouch

Dinner today -> Spaghetti with Tomato Sauce.
Made a simple spaghetti with tomato sauce for dinner.  Did you know Bravo no longer comes in a can?  The now come in a handy plastic pouch.  Just cut the corner and squirt.

Cook the spaghetti for 7 mins, added 1/2 spoon of garlic butter, 1 spoon of butter, a big squirt of Bravo tomato sauce, and 2 big spoons of sour cream.  Mix together.  Then top with fresh ground black pepper and done.  I don't know why, but I find that the regular Bravo sauce is the one that tastes the best, and it's cheap too!

Weekend Report: Wasted Gaming Night

Food this weekend ->
On Friday, Ed, Steve, and I went to Bai Du for some Korean BBQ and Sushi lunch.  Ed and Steve had never had Korean BBQ and Steve never ate sushi before.  They now eat both.  We stuffed ourselves with alot of meat.

This is what we ordered the whole time there, but the list doesn't seem to indicate that much food.  I kept ordering Beef Spare ribs in multiple orders, but they would always only bring 1 dish.

FYI: don't order chicken unless you really want it.  It didn't taste that great, took forever to cook, and used up alot of cooking real estate.

Made some Chicken Pad Thai Saturday.  I only had 2 small chicken thighs left in the fridge, so there wasn't alot of meat in the dish.

Then with the other half of the package of Pad Thai noodles, I made Cream of Chicken Soup with Mussels and BBQ Pork.

It was really saucy at first, but when I came back for a 2nd bowl, the noodles had sucked up all the soup.  Probably won't make this again with this type of noodle.

Useless Gaming News:
I'm not sure why we did gaming at Ben's on Saturday night?  We were suppose to meet at Ben's house at 7pm, but he didn't get back from golfing until 8:30pm.  On top of that, Ben called me at 6:40pm saying he won't make it back to his house until 7:30pm, so someone had to meet Gordon and Brian there.  So I skipped watching a Music Station special (with AKB48 performing) that was on TV, just so I can be at Ben's house by 7:15pm to meet the guys.  Ben didn't tell me that he had texted Brian to not show up until 8pm, so I just waited OUTSIDE his house the whole time. 
I should have known this would happen.  This IS Ben (Ben you owe me big).
Then, when we were gaming, Ben had invited friends over to chat and hangout for awhile, and he stopped playing to do so... why invite people over when you already have plans?
Also Brian was just playing on his iPad and not really in the game... why game if you're not in the mood?  I notice he does this alot.

This is why I don't think we need to game EVERY weekend.  If you're not committed to it, just don't play at all.  It felt like we were just going though the motions.  Wasted this gaming night, where I could have just stayed home and watched the 2hr Music Station Special on TV and play Diablo 3.

Anyways, we played Cosmic Encounters first.  We must be playing something wrong.  It ended after 1 complete round.

Then we played Touch of Evil in verses play.  This is where Brian was out of it (maybe sulking because we weren't playing coop mode?), and Ben's friends arrived.  Only Gordon, Paul, and I actually played.

More Minions

Mowed the lawn today.  The front didn't have many insects, but when I mowed the back, there was a ton.  I got bit twice on my right arm, once on my left arm, my right cheek, and the back if my neck!  Damn bugs.

Dropped by Toys R Us at lunchtime and picked up the remain Minions:  Tim and Stuart.  Tim sings after twisting his head abit.  Stuart giggles when he is poked alot.

Now I got the set of Minions.  I think they are pretty cool :)  I don't think I will get Gru.  He's not that great and is out of scale of the minions.  Minion Dave is still the best one.

Useless Idol News:
AKB48 performed "Koi suru Fortune Cookie" on Music Japan today (ripped the video from YouTube).  I still prefer their first performance of it.  Maybe it's because I like the other costume more or maybe it's Yuko's performance and winking (02:11)?

7 Chicken Thigh Rice

Day 2 of 2 days of stress is done.  It wasn't that bad actually (at least for me it wasn't).  Still, it was a long 2 days, especially when the air conditioning doesn't work in the meeting room on +38C days! 

Dinner today -> 7 Chicken Thigh Rice.
Got home today and made and easy dinner: Chick Rice.  I washed the rice, put it in the rice cooker, topped it with some chicken thighs, and sprinkled a good amount of salt on them.  Press Cook and Poof... done in 45mins.

It's really tasty and I recommend it.  The rice soaks in all the chicken flavour and is lightly salted.  It was a little oily.  If I took off the chicken skin, it would be less oily, but chicken skin is yummy :)

Some "Despicable Me 2" toys are on sale at Toys R Us this week (except the Fart Gun that I really want).  I picked up Minion Dave.
Push the button on his chest, and he farts.
Twist his head, and he farts.
Push down on his tongue, and he... says "Banana", but then press the button on his chest and he does a really long fart :)  LOL

Weekend Report: Steve's Jerky

Steve made some tasty homemade jerky and brought me in a sample.  It's really good.  His secret is brown sugar.

Susanna and I went to T&T and picked up the dinner for 4 for lunch.  We picked 4 dishes and got a large soup and rice for $28.  We brought it back to our parent's house to eat, where we found that my mom also bought some food.

Steamed a section of big head fish on top of lettuce with some soy sauce, oyster sauce, and some oil.  It was good, but the fish butcher didn't clean all the large scales off well enough.
