Weekend Report: I'm Back!

I finally got my computer and internet back, then I promptly reinfected my computer!  There was a stupid worm on my external drive!  It triggered when it was scanned for viruses.
*Ed* if your reading this, it was on the drive I lend you to copy movies/shows for me.  Check your system!
*Gordon* I don't think my AKB drive was infected but check the drive I gave you too.

Food this weekend ->
I made a big pot of congee on Saturday.  I used the marrow from 4 soup bones, chopped BBQ pork, preserved eggs, and fresh chicken livers.  I was so full of flavour and really good.  The chicken liver was really moist and smooth.

Sunday I made battered fish fillets and garlic bread with tomatoes covered in Caesar dressing.  But it wasn't regular caesar dressing... it was BACON Caesar dressing (by Kraft). So fully of bacony goodness.

Useless Idol News:
I won an Instant Cup Noodle Timer on eBay and got it on Friday.  It's AKB48's Kojiharu Haruna noodle timer.  When the time reaches zero, she says "It's Haruna!  It's time!  Hurry uuup!"  Cute :)  I want the Yuko one, but's going for too much.

I got the AKB1/149 PSP game a couple weeks back and I've been playing it alot when I was without internet.  I got the collectors edition with 10 DVDs, photobook, and photos.

It's the latest AKB48 dating simulator game, but this time it includes all members from AKB48, SKE48, NMB48, HKT48, and Maeda Atsuko.  149 members in total.  I've finished it with a bunch of members including Kasai where one conversation was just her saying "chu".  I'm currently working on Yuko.

Virus

I've got a virus on my computer.  I can't get rid of it myself.  I'm bringing it in to be fixed/wiped.  Will post when I get my computer back.  It might take a few days.

No Internet

Couldn't do a post last night.  My internet at home isn't working.  Still not working this morning.  Gotta to call Rogers and get it sorted out.  Probably go to switch over to another provider soon.

Holiday Food

First day back a work today..., and I'm totally not used to waking up so early.  My holiday sleep routine was to go to bed at 4, 5, or 6am and wake up at noon.  Getting up at 7:32am was tough and I had to press "snooze" until 8:20am.

Added red onions, corn, carrots, green beans, and red peppers.

Steak Pita:
I marinated the steak in Korean BBQ sauce for 2 days and it was super tender and flavourful.  Also stuffed the pita with tomatoes, caramelized onions, and yellow peppers.

Red Curry with Chicken and Lobster:
I made this batch of red curry with lite-coconut milk.  It did NOT taste the same as the version I made with coconut cream.  It didn't have the initial sweet taste followed by the spicy kick like in the last batch.  It only had a little sweetness and then maintains a heat the whole time.  I wanted the extreme sweet and then spicy kick, that made it taste really good last time.

Useless Idol News:
I got my AKB48 Series 2 Cards over the holidays.  I also got some AKB48 Card Sleeves.  Got Kasai, Rie, Yuko, and Yukirin sleeves.  I'll use them for my Magic decks :)

I ordered 6 boxes of the cards because I was expecting it to be a big set and a hard set to complete, like the Series 1 set.  But it turned out to be a really small set and I was able to complete 2 whole sets with all the rares, and a 3rd common set with alot of extra rares.

I also got 6 shirt cards for the inserts.  All members were from Kashiwagi's Team B.  None of the cards had any ink on them, and 3 were just blank.  I'm not thrilled about the inserts I got.

I finally scored a Swindle!  Took forever but I finally found one at the Super Walmart.  There were 2 of every Combaticon except for Swindle and Brawl.

Christmas has come and gone.  I hope everyone enjoyed it.
Our family feasted in Montreal this year.  We started eating on Dec 24th around 4pm and didn't stop until 1:30am!

Desserts at 1am.  The Score Cake was dropped but was still good.  The log cake was a "Limoncello" from Les Delices Lafrenaie in MTL.  The Limoncello cake is really really good!  I highly recommend it.

This year's NHK Kouhaku starts on Monday 5:15am EST.  AKB48 and SKE48 will perform separately this year.  Right after, AKB48 and Kasai Tomomi will perform at CDTV Special.

Dinner today -> Sushi.
There was a super deal on salmon at Superstore, so I got a large fillet for only $5.  I made basic rolls: 3 salmon rolls and 1 crispy salmon skin roll.  You can call this practice for out family Christmas party.  If the world ends, this is a pretty good last meal.

This year's AKB48 Christmas song "Totte oki Christmas".  The video is nice, but completely unrealistic... who in their right mind would make Yuko wait so long :)
