Weekend Report -> Mother's Day

Food this weekend ->
Susanna and I went to T&T on Saturday.  I got some tofu curds with mushroom for lunch.  This little package was $10!  The cooked food isn't worth it any more at T&T.  It's too expensive as everything is by the same weight.

I also picked up a couple lobsters for dinner.  They were on sale this weekend.  I picked out 1 male and 1 female and they were both fiesty.

Made a casserole on Sunday morning to share with my parents and grandparents.  Made with ground beef, chili spices, mixed vegetables, cream of chicken soup, cream of mushroom soup, milk, and pasta.

We had Mother's Day BBQ lunch on Sunday.  Susanna marinated the chicken drumsticks and thighs in Kraft Chicken & Rib sauce overnight, and my dad did the cooking.  We also had steak, portobello mushrooms, and Chinese greens.

I picked up a Strawberry and Cream Triple Layer Cake for dessert from Sobey's.  The cake was very good.

Useless M:tG News:
Picked up 2 War of the Spark Pre-release packs on Saturday.  I got nothing good for the promo cards.  I did get 3 mythic rares: 2x Finale of Devastations and Liliana Dreadhorde General.  I also got a rare Teferi and Ral planeswalkers.

Dinner today -> Guacamole
Made fresh guacamole for dinner today. 

I mixed 4 mashed avocados, 1/2 diced red onion, 2 diced tomatoes, 1 chopped jalapeno, 1 juiced lime, 1 tsp of salt, and 1/2 tsp of cumin all together in a bowl.  I dipped pita chips into it and ate half for dinner.  I think I'll add garlic next time.

Dinner today -> Sushi
Susanna and I went to IKEA tonight.  I picked up a new Billy Bookcase.  We then went to Bayshore and got some BOGO sushi.  Decent selection tonight.

Went to Julie's place today and we watched the season premiere of iZombie.  We also finished off Chef School Season 2 and Quest for the Bay.  We took a break during the shows to get some BOGO sushi from Bayshore.  We got 6 boxes :)

Weekend Report -> Alirang

Food this weekend ->
Family went to Alirang Korean Restaurant on Sunday to celebrate Ben's birthday early.  We ordered 7 dishes:
Appetizers:
Pajeon (seafood pancake), Tangsayuk (sweet & sour pork), Tteokbokki (rice cakes).

Then we had cake.  We had a Trinity Mousse cake from La Provence.  The cake was very good and chocolatey.

Found Transformers Seige Ironhide at Kanata Walmart on Friday.  Very solid transformer, unlike Prowl.  Ironhide or Sixgun is the best of this wave.

Food today -> Sushi
Went to Bayshore tonight with Susanna.  We got there around 7:25pm, but the sushi wasn't BOGO yet.  We killed time at Walmart, EB Games, and Bath & Body Works til 8:05pm.  Then we got our BOGO Sushi.

At Walmart I picked 3 new Transformers: Prowl, Sixgun, and Chromia.  Ironhide wasn't there to complete the wave.  Checked both Kanata Walmarts on the way home and neither of them had Ironhide too.

Charcoal Roasted Chicken Chips

Dinner today -> Whopper Wednesday
Whopper Wednesday today and I haven't had a Whopper in a long time.  The best deal was 2 Whopper meals for $10.99, so I got it.

Boy was I so full after eating 2 Whoppers, 2 med fries, and 1 Strawberry Fruitopia (saved the other Iced Tea for later).

Snack today -> Charcoal Roasted Chicken Chips
Got a bag of Charcoal Roasted Chicken chips from Walmart.  It's a flavour from Portugal.

The initial bite was very good.  It had a smokey grilled roast taste, but then the 2nd taste that over-powered this was a tart lime taste.  I didn't like that part.  Ed says in Portugal that he had the roasted chicken and it is supposed to be served with a wedge of lemon/lime.  That's why its in the chip.  Anyways, not to my liking.
