Free Gino

Dinner today -> Dagwoods x 1.5
That's 3 trips to Dagwoods in less than a week now. Their sandwiches are just that good.
Today I used one of their online coupons and got a large The Dagwood and a FREE Small The Gino.

I think the guy making my Dagwood misheard me. He put both the normal Dagwood sauce AND the Spicy Dagwood sauce on it. The sandwich was still good, just extra saucy.

Using the "Free Small Sandwich" coupon, I will be able to sample all the different sandwiches. Next will be The Club or The Beef :)

Useless Idol News:
Tuesday is the AKB48 Janken Pon Tournament. The top 16 winners will perform as senbatsu for the 24th single. The winner of the tournament will perform in the center position. The remainder of the girls will form the Undergirls and Theatre girls for the B-Side songs.
This event starts at 6pm JST, so about 5am EST. Maybe I'll wake up early and follow the tweets about who is winning.

Made a couple of batches of Rib Fingers marinated in Korean BBQ sauce. Slow roasted the rib fingers in the oven.

Happy Birthday Everett!!!

Dropped by Jeff & Linda's place and gave Everett his 3rd Birthday Present: Batman! He found the spring action arm that throws the batarang hilarious.

Played some 5 player Pandemic afterwards. We lost 1 and won 1 on Easy. We then lost badly on Normal. I believe it was all due to Buenos Aries out braking 3 times :)

Dagwood's Sandwich

Lunch today -> The Dagwood.
Steve and I went to the new Dagwoods Sandwich shop in Kanata. We both got the signature "The Dagwood" sandwich. I got mine with all the toppings and Dagwood special sauce. This sandwich was uber-good!

I highly recommend checking out this place. It is way better than Subway and Quizno's. The cheese and cold cut meat are sliced fresh infront of you, and the fresh bread is delicious. I'm tempted to go again on Thursday, since they are only a 5 min walk from my house :)
As I'm writing this entry I discovered there were some online coupons we could have used! D'oh! We could have used the extra small sandwich. I guess I'll have to print a bunch of these and stock them in my car :)

Breakfast Sausage Meat Sauce

Dinner today -> Spaghetti with Breakfast Sausage Meat Sauce.
I removed the casing from some breakfast sausages and used the meat to make the meat sauce. Added some chopped garlic, caramelized onions, sliced mushrooms, and sour cream to the meat sauce too.

Anthony is EVIL :) Ever since I ate one of the peaches he brought to Ben's party, I've been buy peaches every week and eating atleast a peach a day.

Morning Musume's Leader Takahashi Ai will be graduating from the group at the end of Sept during their "Ai Believe" Tour. It'll be an end of an era, with the group losing their best singer (IMO). Morning Musume's next single is on Sept 14, and will be Ai-chan's last. The B version includes a solo song from her called "Jishin Motte Yume Motte Tobitatsukara"

Useless Softball News:
CMC Strike Fighters lost both playoff games on Saturday and were eliminated. We lost big against "I'd Hit That", 23-7. They're a strong team that normally gives us trouble this season and in the past. Thing is we can beat the teams that beat them. Go figure.

We then went on to lose to "Hellcats" in the 2nd game, whom we did not expect to meet. They are the best team in C division. I can't believe they lost their other games against weaker teams, to face us in the losers bracket. We lost 13-8 in 5 innings. The umpire ended the game at 5 innings for some reason, eventhough there was no game immediately after ours.

The ump was drunk during our game too. What I was told, he had drank 8 beers before our 2pm game and then he had 4 more during our game. He was saying he was thirsty all the time and said he only had a couple of beers.
During the 4th inning, while I was catching, he kept asking me "what inning it was?", and "which team was home?" I must have told him we were in playing the top of the 4th inning and CMC was the home team 6 or 7 times, LOL.

Useless Gaming News:
Ben invited himself and myself for dinner at Jeff & Linda's new house. Linda made spaghetti and I brought Beef with Chinese Greens (I forgot to take a pick of the food). Their new house is really nice and big! Backyard is huge too.
I played with Everett and Katelyn until we got into some serious gaming. We taught Jeff and Linda how to play Pandemic. I think we played 4 game on easy: won 3 and lost 1.
The loss was 1 turn away from a win. We had some bad luck and 7 ourbreaks triggered and chained on the last 3 turns. We ran out of blue cubes because of the outbreaks. Awesome game.
