Long Weekend Report

Since your able to read this entry, I guess the Jokulhaups / Apocalypse didn't happen on Saturday.

My cousin's house warming party was also on Saturday. As usual, there was tons of food:

^ Main dishes.
And tons of desserts, including my favorite: Black Forest Cake.

^ Desserts.
Congratulations on your new home!

I helped Ben buy a used gazebo from Ed's brother. We got this great 10x12 gazebo for only $75! It took us a couple of hours to put it together, but it looks great.

^ Ben's New Gazebo.
If Ben can get some mosquito netting or curtain walls, we could even play Magic outside!

Other food this long weekend ->

^ Can you identify this Mystery Drink that is really good on a hot day?

^ Beef and Chinese Greens on Rice.

^ Mac & Cheese with Salmon and Veggies.

^ Ramen with Egg and Fish Paste.

^ Mystery Drink Revealed: Orange Frosty.

Useless Idol News:
AKB48 21st Single "Everyday, Kachuusha" ("Everyday, Headband") will be released Tuesday.

^ Everyday, Kachuusha.
(The song starts about 01:30 in.)
The music video parodies scenes from almost every previous AKB48 music video. Unless your an AKB fan, the video is not that great because you won't understand where the scenes come from. Actually, I think it was kind of dumb as I want to see a new video and not a re-hash.

Update: Invisible Dividing Line

Useless Lawn Info:
Can you see where my neighbour's lawn ends and where mine starts?

^ Fongpay's Lawn.
You can actually see a dividing line. Thanks to the amazing power of "Weed-B-Gon" I have no dandelions this spring. This stuff is just too awesome. I highly recommend it.

^ Weed-B-Gone.

Dinner today -> Hamburgers.

^ Hamburgers.

Strike Fighters 2011 Season Opener

CMC Strike Fighters opened the softball season today against a new team to the league: A-Team. We played through the rain and won 32-25. It was a hitters game. Alot of hits and home runs for both teams, but we destroyed their starting pitcher and 2 relievers.
Today, I was Walked and hit 2 Singles and a Double.
Honourable Mention #2: Jeno with 2 Home Runs!
Honourable Mention #1: Steve with a Grandslam!
MVP: All 4 of our girls. Great fielding and hitting.

Dinner today -> Subway Cold Cut Trio.
Didn't feel like making anything after the softball game, so I picked up Subway.
My usual order: "Cold Cut Trio on white. Everything but the olives. Mayo and pepper."

^ Fongpay's Cold Cut Trio.

Useless Idol News:
It was announced AKB48 will be the official messengers of the Japanese Red Cross. I read the article about this, and what made me say, "Holy Crap!" was that after the tsunami disaster, the girls raised over "187.3 Billion Yen" for the Red Cross (about $2.2 Billion CDN). That amount is incredible! Holy Crap!

Brand New Twins!

Congratulations!!! x2
Steve and Kristina had their twins today. 1 girl and 1 boy. Names TBD.
Mom, dad, sister, dog, and babies are doing fine.

^ Twins!

Dinner today -> Deer Steak, Potatoes, and Veggies.
I defrosted a deer steak I had in the freezer. This one seemed way more salty than the other deer steak I had a few weeks ago.

^ Deer Steak, Potatoes, and Veggies.

Useless Idol News:
The Series 2 AKB48 Solo Cards were released this past Saturday. I only found out Sunday night, and both Yuko and Kashiwagi sets are already sold out! I requested a special order from 2 of my online stores, but they won't order them for me :(
I'm hoping Gavin would do me a huge favour and order 1 box of Kasai Tomomi for me (and maybe Oshima Yuko if it gets restocked ^_^ ).

^ Kasai and Yuko Cards.

If anyone wants to get me a Birthday gift and have connections in Japan, I'm also interested in getting Kashiwagi Yuki (currently sold out), Kitahara Rie, Takahashi Minami, or Maeda Atsuko card sets. Go ahead and feel free to discuss it among yourselves :)

^ Yukirin and Rie Cards.

^ Takamina and Maeda Cards.

GOCHI

Dinner today -> Steamed Big Head Fish.

^ Steamed Big Head Fish.

Useless Japan News:
I watched this show on NHK called "GOCHI, Dinner is on YOU tonight!". It's a food game show where 2 comedians (Ninty-Nine), 3 regulars, and a weekly special guest order and critic a meal from a top restaurant. After eating a dish, they have to guess how much it is worth on the menu. Each person orders 3-4 dishes and they show how the chef makes the dish. (I'm not sure if they have to guess for every dish or just their own dishes.)

^ "Gochi, Dinner is on YOU tonight!"
At the end of the show, they reveal who guessed closest to the bill total and they win a prize. They then reveal the next closest until the one who guessed with the most difference in price is revealed and has to pay for everyone's meal.

^ Final 2 Players Praying and Revealed.
This show is really entertaining and the food looks awesome! This is the 2nd episode I've seen and the same girl lost 2 weeks in a row! LOL

Weekend Report: More Glass Catfish

Last Thursday, Blogger was down, so I couldn't post.

I spent 3hrs re-arranging/cleaning my fish tank. I added dark blue gravel to the bottom. It makes the tank look alot cleaner and the fish stand out more.
I also got 3 more Glass Catfish too. They are so neat, I had to get more before they were all gone.

^ Tank Redesign.

Useless Gaming News:
Got the new Magic: the Gathering cards on Friday, "New Phyrexia". I got 2 booster boxes and a Fat Pack. Alot of good cards in this set. I really wanted a Karn Liberated, but I didn't get one!

^ M:tG New Phyrexia Cards.

Went to the big Card Show at Lansdowne Park with Gordon. Not too much there, but I picked up a few Magic singles and 3 (knockoff) rookie cards :) Patrick Roy, Wayne Gretzky, and Mario Lemieux Rookie cards.

^ Patrick Roy, Wayne Gretzky, and Mario Lemieux Rookie Cards.

Food this weekend ->

^ Mock Chicken and Avocado Pita Wrap.

^ Steamed Big Head Fish (Before & After).

^ Steamed Soup Filled Steam Pork Buns.

My Aunt and Uncle were visiting from Connecticut this week, and we went to Chu Shing for dinner:
