When it was done cooking, the juices from the popped sausages had spread throughout the rice to flavour it subtly.  Very tasty.

Brown's Independent Grocer in Stittsville, has Lindt Chocolate bars on clearance for $0.49 a bar!!! (Thanks Ed for the tip)  The only catch is, it's all dark chocolate.

I bought 16 bars: 4 Roasted Almond, 4 Sea Salt, 2 Chili, 2 Supreme Dark, 2 Intense Dark, and 2 Dark.  Still alot left at the front of the store when I left at around 9pm Monday night.

Weekend Report -> New Phone

I finally got a new phone.  My old Motorola X2 would die with a battery life of 96%!  Sometimes when I take a picture with flash on, and the battery was at 100%, the phone would die!  Too bad though, it was a good phone and everything on it worked well.
My new phone is a Google Pixel 3.  I ordered it online but didn't order a case.  I thought I could find one easily.  I was wrong.  There are no Pixel 3 cases in Kanata at Best Buy, and both Walmarts.  There are some at Barrhaven and Mervale Best Buys, but I didn't have time to go this weekend.  I thought about building a custom case on the Google shop, but I wanted an autobot symbol on it, and it would not have passed thier copy right screening.  Maybe a Kiosk at Bayshore will have one.

Found Transformers Siege: Galaxy Prime at Centrum Walmart on Friday.

It was the only one there and wasn't in the computer system yet.  The manager didn't know what to charge me and didn't go back to check the prices, so I told her it was around $49-$59.  She didn't believe me and thought that was too much, so she charged me $45.  Gordon told me later it should have been $69.  Score!

Long Weekend Report -> Easter Weekend

Food this weekend ->
Made a roast on Saturday night.  I was using the easy 500F method, but I messed it up.  I bought the Labo VR Starter Kit for the Nintendo Switch from Best Buy.  I decided to build the VR viewer while I cooked the roast for 34 minutes before turning off the oven.  I got immersed in building the VR that I let the roast cook for an hour!  I turned off the oven and let it cook for 1.5hrs instead of 2hrs.  It came out medium-well, but was still juicy.

I cut it up into cubes and ate it over white rice.  Makes it easier to eat and don't need a knife and fork to slow me down :)

I got some Boston Kreme flavoured Yogurt from the US on the last trip.  It tastes really good.  Just like Boston Creme filling.

While I was at Best Buy, the car I parked behind was painted red... Flash red.  It had 2 Flash symbols on it, and it's license plate says "SPDFORCE"!  There must be a big Flash fan in Ottawa.  I thought it was really cool.

Gavin and his family was in town for Easter.  We did some gaming on Friday night.  We played a few games of Magic, Quacks of Quedlinburg, and Luxor.  And then some more Magic.  No pics.  My phone battery sucks.  Getting new phone soon.

Weekend Report -> USA Trip

Food this weekend ->
Made a casserole this weekend.  Used some ground beef, mixed veggies, spring pasta, cream of mushroom soup, cream of chicken soup, and a pack of chili powder.  Made it in a big pot and then transferred some to a clay pot and topped it with Monterey Jack cheese to finish in the oven.

It tasted really good and I ate that all weekend while watching a bunch of shows/movies: Star Trek Discovery Season 2, Justice League, Bumblebee, and Antman and Wasp.

I picked up a pile of snacks: Carrot Cake Oreos, instant Yakisoba, Bread and Butter Pickles, Peanut Butter Snickers, Cow Tales, Marshmallow Eggs, Darkside Skittles, Haribo Starmix, Caramel Apple filled Werther's Original, Scooby Snacks, Sweetos, and Kiwi Watermelon gum.

Useless Transformers News:
Picked up Soundwave is the US.  His robot mode is good, but his ship mode kind of sucks.  The "warp nacelles" keep poping off and don't stay in where I want them.  He comes with an extra gun but it's kind of useless.

Food this weekend ->
Got The Fry on Friday.  I got my standard order of: half-and-half chicken with sauce and with garlic & soy, and an order of rice cakes.  It's abit expensive but worth it.

Julie and I went to the Spring Craft Show on Saturday.  We bought alot of meats from Carmichael's Meats.  I got some honey garlic pepperoni sticks.  Nobody else has this flavour and they are so good.  I also got a wild boar sausage and a spicy camel sausage.  Camel is very tender and had a good taste.
Afterwards we picked up food from T&T (BBQ pork buns, onigiri, sesame sticks, and Portuguese tarts), Franks (#1 on cheese bread), and Farmboy (cheese balls and ice cream sandwiches).  We ate/snacked while we binged watched all of The Tick: Season 2.  We binged all of Santa Clarita Diet: Season 2 last week on release day.

Made fish for dinner on Sunday.  I pan fried a rainbow trout filet.  While it was cooking, I blanched garlic chives in boiling water and then added them to the pan.  I added a few grape tomatoes too.

Dinner today -> Fork & Knife Burrito.
Today was Burrito Day.  I found that out when Becky sent me a coupon for Lone Star.  It was for purchasing their "Fork & Knife Burrito" for only $10 (reg price: $18.49).  I went and got 2 and shared it with my parents.

It's pretty good and big.  It's filled with beef, rice, and beans, topped with cheese, salsa, avocado, jalapenos, and sour cream.  Definitely worth $10, but $18 us abit much. 

Useless News:
Stopped by LCBO today and found the Game of Thrones "Mother of Dragons" Beer.  Tried to find the best looking bottle but all the labels were peeling off or scratched up :(

Got some "Partly Popped Popcorn" from Canadian Tire.  It's called "Frank pops his top".

It's very tasty.  It's like a corn nut but with a softer crunch.  Not sure how they half-pop a corn kernel, but it's good.  This one (blue bag) is just lightly salted.  There is a cheese version (orange bag) too.

Useless Gaming News:
Our 1st Tuesday of the Month gaming club meeting was tonight.  6 of us tonight at Peter's house.  We started with a big meal from Big Bone BBQ: ribs, wings, pulled pork, corn bread, fries, beans, cole and slaw.  Dessert was mini chocolate croissants and Farmboy ice cream sandwiches.
For games, we played Azul, 7 Wonders with Leaders expansion, and Dominion.  I lost every game, but made it close.
