I'm so sick...

Woke up this morning with a really bad sore throat, slight cough, and felt nauseated. I left CMC at lunch time to go rest. As I was resting, I was burning up under my covers and felt freezing cold at the same time. I also had a huge headache. Time also seem to be moving really slow too.

Maybe I'm delirious? Or it's an "Excuse Maybe"?

Benylin tastes disgusting.
Chinese Medicated Oil smells, but I'm desparate.
Head On is awesome. Freezes my forehead within minutes.

Dinner today -> Yoshinoya Style Lamb Bowl

Made Yoshinoya Style Lamb Bowl tonight for dinner. Yoshinoya is a fast food chain in Japan that serves a bowl of rice topped with meat, onions, and gravy. The beef version is called Gyudon. I made mine with Lamb. I didn't crack a raw egg on top this time, maybe next time.

Rumour has it, that Steve is bringing a sample of 'bread and butter pickles' on Tuesday. Is this all hearsay or will it be true...?

Weekend Report -> Non-stop Food

Went to MTL for the weekend and got together with a whole bunch of my relatives.

On Saturday we celebrated current/belated Birthday's for my uncle and cousins.


^ My aunt made these meat-filled taro pastries. It's a recipe from her home village. Good stuff.

Dinner was at Chinatown. The restaurant was packed and a wedding reception was going on, so the service was kind of slow.


^Started off with assorted meat plate (no pic) followed by fish-maw soup.


^ After that we had Breaded Black-Bean Ribs, Fish Cake, Fried Rice (no pic), Tofu w/ Veggies (no pic), Squid w/ Veggies (no pic), and Noodles (no pic).

We had 2 tables reserved for dinner. The other table was served their lobster and they forgot to bring it for our table. When we finally got our lobster, they gave us a FREE EXTRA plate of Lobsters as compensation. That was awesome!

On Sunday, we had a Surprise 50th Birthday Party for my cousin Annalisa.



We partially celebrated it the night before, so I don't think she suspected anything. When she arrived, she was totally surprised to see all her family and friends there. The party was at an Italian Restaurant/Buffet hall.


^ 1st plate: Scramble eggs, bacon, sausage, eggs Benedict, mussels, roasted peppers/mushrooms/zuchini, mozzarella balls, tripe, and rabbit.

2nd plate (no pic): pancakes (very fluffy and good), sausage, bacon, lamb, and veal leg.
3rd plate (no pic): pancakes (really good), watermelon, grapes, pineapple, chocolate mousse cake, pastries, and cheese.
4th plate (no pic): pancakes (bloody good).

Lunch today -> Cookies

Lunch today was a box of White Macadamia Cookies.


^ Only ate 4 and gave the rest away. Got too sweet.

Why cookies for lunch? Because I went to Comic Book Shoppe at lunchtime to pickup the new Magic set, Zendikar.


^ Got 2 Booster Boxes, 1 FatPack, and the White Starter.

I also got 1 new manga. It's Yotsuba&! #6!! I've been waiting almost a year for it to come out.


^ In this volume, Yotsuba gets a bike. Let the hilarity begin... :)

Dinner today -> Soba and Schnitzel

Went to Farmboy and found Schnitzel on sale. That triggered my desire for some Soba noodles and Tonkatsu (subbing in Schnitzel). The Schnitzel didn't brown very well at all, but was still good. Adding some Tonkatsu Sauce made it better.

Made some more Broccoli and Steak today. Used MTL Steak Spice today, so no sauce.
