Cookie Notti

Useless Food News:
Saw this spread in the jam aisle at Sobeys called Cookie Notti.  It's caramelized crushed cookie butter.  Has anyone tried this?  Is it any good?  What the heck is cookie butter?  I'm really tempted to buy it and try it, but do I spread it on toast or does it go with something better?

Useless Gaming News:
Gaming night tonight after work.  Today we played a learning gaming of Terra Mystica.  It took us 1.5 hrs to go through the beginner setup and understand all the rules.  But once the game got started, the first few round went by pretty quickly and we got the hang of what we could do during our turns.  We didn't finish as it got late but it's a pretty good game.  There is lots to do and strategy to learn.  We will definitely play it again next week.

  1. Mmmmm cookie butter is so yummy! Apparently it's been popular in the US for quite some time, but up here in Canada it's a fairly new concept.

What can you eat it on? Anything you can put a spread on! Toast, bagels, waffles, english muffins, crackers. Personally, I like to eat it on a spoon ;)

This specific cookie butter is made from a Belgian cookie called speculoos, kind of reminds me of shortbread and gingerbread combined. There are other types, too. PC sells a chocolate chip one and I think cookie notti has a chocolate chip one also. I haven't tried the chocolate chip but I have heard they are meh compared to the speculoos ones.
